Uh, it's constantly talked about. "**** you, *****! If Manny's weight climbing means PEDs then so does Floyd's!" and "**** you, *******! If Floyd turned pro at sixteen, he'd be an 8-division champion too!" and mentioned in ******ed Pacweather bull**** like that on a daily basis.

Hey newbie its not about the weight gain. Its about the fact that Manny has gone up in so many weight divisions and hasn't lost anything unlike every other boxer who has ever boxed in the history of the sport. Usually a fighter loses a tad bit of speed or power as they continue to move up in weight.

well pac fans don't like to bring it up because they like pac to be unique and unparalleled. floyd fans don't like to bring it up because this way they can still accuse pac of peds.

the truth is pac isn't going to be considered great because of his weight gain, he's rarely the smaller guy in a fight against a fellow atg. he'll be remembered for his depth of victories throughout the weight classes. this is what hinders him because he never cleaned out a weight division, he always out grew it. fortunately there have been enough quality opponents in the division above for him to build a world class resume (not one of the greatest ever, but one of the greatest today).

  8. You mean as opposed to Pacquiao's weight gain?

Do the math on that one.

Pacquiao fans make his climb through the weights a focal point of his greatness.
Mayweather fans casualy bring his climb up.
Is one more impresive than the other? Not really but with so much attition given to Pacquiao's it just seems that way.

Pac's climb through the weights is alot more impressive than Maywaether's not in terms of pounds but in terms of achievements.

i agree, you have to put the greater emphasis on world titles as opposed to amateur competitions. after all we're talking pro rankings and comparisons. i don't think anyone classes pac as a better am than floyd so we can't have it both ways.

    Please.

FMJ's weight is directly in line with his lineage. FMS ended his career where? Light Middle weight. Hell he even got up into Middleweight. So the actual size isn't an issue. Now go look a Manny's damn near identical brother Bobby. Barely cracks 140 and has no power.

FMJ's Boxing style has become increasingly less "direct" as he went up in weight. FMJ was a BEAST at lower weight classes. The fact that many of the clowns on this website talk about him not being "exciting" expose the fact that they never have seen him Box. So as he increased in weight he fought a less damaging style.

Mayweather will take the drug tests.
