Because Pac's gain isn't anything crazy, and neither is Floyds.

I think people misunderstand the relevance of pac's weight gain. He turned pro at 16, most boxers are midway through an amateur career at this point.

He moved weight as he grew older and bigger. If you check his fight night weight for the last 6 years there hasn't been much difference.

This isn't a guy who campaigned in one weight class, dominated and moved up as past greats did, this is a guy who fought in a weight class until he couldn't make it any more. There isn't anything amazing about growing bigger with age, the amazing thing is the fighters he's beaten.

Someone who truly appreciates pac won't bang on about weight gain, they'll go on about the number of titles won, the number of champs faced and the number of hof guys he's likely to have faced.

Pac is special, not because he went from 106 to 150, but because he's beaten 14 world champions. Plenty of 16 year olds put on 3 stone over the next 15 years of their life, but not many can hang with top level pro's.

A better accomplishment is being a 17(i think) year old world champ and still being a world champ at age 31.

But he has lost power and speed? You're telling me he fights exactly the same as his Flyweight counterpart? With the same speed and the same power? He doesn't even have knockout power at 147 and 154, not one punch knockout power anyway. And his speed has dramatically lessened.

Isn't it possible he has, oh I dunno, a good chin? If he's carrying his weight up, it doesn't mean he should have a china chin at higher weights. Maybe it's that good or his body is just adapting. Everyone's so quick to shout PEDS.

    Floyd Mayweather Jr 2006
“Who is Margarito? He don’t bring **** to the table.”

    Floyd Mayweather Jr 2006
“Who has Margarito beaten to deserve a shot at me? Once he beat two or three big names then we’ll fight.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr 2006 (on his fight a year ago with Henry Bruseles)
“I mean, the fight with Henry Bruseles – somebody had to give him a chance. You know, everybody gives, I mean, how will we ever know how good a person is till you give them a chance? Somebody had to give him that chance. So I gave him that chance.”

Because he isnt relevant until he gets his **** together & fights Pacquiao asap, the same goes for Pacquiao, he also is non-existant until he faces his only true threat instead of allowing himself to be milked to the max by arum.

This topic has been discussed before many times.

Unbelievable how the ******* simply ignores that as a teenager that body has yet to fully develop......

I wrote this on another thread months ago.......

Your body has pretty much fully developed when you're in your mid 20's.....
.....look at Pacquiao's weight climbs during his late 20's to early 30's......

Past the age of 28, his body fully developed, Mayweather has stood in the same weight division at 147 lbs to the present......

Pacquiao in that same time frame past 28 years old has scaled up 4 weight divisions and fought in a fifth vs Margarito.:patsch

So *******s, stop this phoney weight comparison between Mayweather and Pacroid to laughably come to a conclusion that both have climbed up weight comparably, when the facts and data just dont point to it.

As grown men fully developed, Pacquiao has gone in a PED regimen and turned into Pacroid, the data fully shows it.:deal

Try doing real weights, not weigh-ins.

oh **** i saw this thread i thought you were talking about how he couldn't make weight for the marquez fight and how embarassing that was forcing marquez to make a new contract a guy moving up from 35 who had fought his career at 26....

Well OP you are correct they have both done the same thing basically and I dont think there has been anything wrong with how they did it BUT they have done it very differently......just go back and look at Floyd when he was fighting 135 and below you will see Pretty Boy Floyd (as he called himself then) much faster, putting alot more punches together, using way more combinations and actually stopping opponents!

When he got to 140+ (money Mayweather) he became more of a pot shotter, didnt carry up as much power and rarely stopped his opponents, and very rarely uses more than the 1 - 2 combination.

Now look at Manny it hasn't been the same for him, he appears to have got stronger (Icing Hatton), when he couldn't get Marquez out of there when he had him knocked down 3 times in one round) running through Cotto, and doesnt look to have slowed down one bit, despite it being natural for fighters to lose both speed and power when moving up.

Now, that isnt to say Manny is on something but him refusing to take a drug test when all of the terms of the fight were agreed and Floyd agreed to that ENORMOUS penalty for every Lb he came in over the 147 limit seems odd to me.

I know alot of *******s will get upset at me for saying this but Im a fan of Pacquiao (just a realist) I just dont think anyone could have predicted that kind of reaction from Manny, and no way Floyd did!

So make of it what you will......

One thing is to look at one variable of the big picture and call it coincidence or "that does'nt prove he's a PED user."

.....but what the ******* does is focus on one variable (telling as it is to be suspicious) .....they simply dismiss that variable and ignore the many more variables that just does'nt look good for Pacquiao.

As you said, they dismiss the weight issue citing Pacquiao's weight on the night of the fight was'nt that much higher than it was 3 divisions below, but then they simply ignore all the other variables that coaberate to suspicioun.

Yeah, it happens to be a coincidence that the fighter that climbs 4 weight divisions at or near 30 years of age and does it in a short time span, it happens to be a coincidence that that same fighter will excuse himself from random PED testing, citing it weakens him.:lol::nut

Well I'm sure going without using PED's will weaken a fighter thats become accustomed to using them.:yep
