Lets say the Camacho who beat Limon fought the great 130lb. version of Mayweather... I see this being very close.

Camacho was a southpaw, with a good jab, and with better (see great) speed than Mayweather. These are the same characheteristics that allowed Judah to exploit Mayweather in the beggining of their fight.

Why doesn't anyone here ever give the nod to Camacho?

I don't know why people are so quick to say Mayweather beats Camacho. Might be due to the fact they overrate Mayweather or because they underrate Camacho. Bit of both I presume, but most likely, it's the latter. Camacho goes a bit overlooked at 130.

Personally, I pick Mayweather by a razor thin decision over Camacho at 130. Honestly, this could go either way. Mayweather has admitted to struggling against southpaws and there has never been a southpaw with hands as fast as a prime Camacho. Floyd's advantages come in technical skills and adaptability.

I don't think the southpaw stance alone is enough to bother Mayweather. However, a southpaw with good speed and defensive abilities would sure as hell bother him. If Camacho were to lose it would be because of his lack of power.

What are some good fights of his?
I've only seen fights where he is loosing and holding every five seconds to opponents. Saw the Sugar Ray fight but he didn't impress me much.

It wasn't like Limon had never been KO'd before. I haven't seen much of Camacho at 130 so maybe I'm wrong here, but I just don't think he's a big puncher. Do you think Camacho was a bigger puncher at 130 than Zab is at 147?

There are two distinct eras in his career... that was the second.

Limon was a tough son of a ***** and no easy KO. Zab has good power at 147lbs, but Camacho put his hands together much better. It wasn't about one punch power with him but blinding speed, lateral movement (both before and during punching he showed angles) and combinations... lots of combinations.

It's funny, I just put up a thread about what would have happened if Camacho fought Rosario in a rematch. I also just finished watching the Ramirez vs Camacho fight.

Camacho would beat PBF at 130. Ramirez, limon, Solis, etc. Don't judge Camacho post Rosario. Find some more of his old fights at 130. I heard he fought even at a lighter weight. I am disperately looking for the Camacho vs Rosario fight. Does anyone know where to find it?

His power at that weight was similar to Floyd's.

Camacho at 130 was one hell of a fighter, people tend to remember the post Rosario version.
