To be perfectly honest, I never thought Floyd was a big puncher. I've seen him unload on guys at 130 and still couldn't finish them off. Look at his fights against Gerena, Corrales, and Augustus(technically that was at 135). He unloaded on all of those guys. All of them were stopped by their corner, but all 3 probably could've have continued. Anyway, If Camacho were to win, it would be because of his speed and defense. I've never seen Floyd against a really good defensive fighter.

Very true, I believe Camacho's hand and foot speed would frustrate PBF. To PBF's defense, I feel PBF would adjust late in the fight. The adjustment would be too late and Camacho would win a by UD. I believe it is the Solis fight Camacho had that he threw one of those wierd Naz uppercuts from close to halfway across the ring and actually connected. This was unbelievable.

I knew it was a matter of time before someone started with the PBF haters quote. We are not discussing Cotto vs PBF. Anyway, Camacho would have beaten Corrales. Too much foot and hand speed. I believe Camacho had a slight more pop in his punches than PBF. I am a PBF fan too, but Camacho at 130 was just phenomenal. No one here is delusional, but just stating their opinions on how the fight could have gone. It is a dream fight if both were in the same era. Again, Camacho by UD. Being a lefty, speed that cannot be compared to another fighter at 130 would truly frustrate PBF. We will never know, but it is a good thread to discuss.

maybe is true , maybe diego corrales was a more dangerous fighter, but honestly i think that some people think that Floyd is like GOD :nono or something, hes human and somebody can beat him.

And also i liked Floyd as a fighter, but like all the others he should have a way to beat, its just human nature, nobodys perfect

Don't respond to this idiot, its a waste of your time. You can be guaranteed he hasn't seen Camacho at 130lbs.

I agree. Anyone who thinks this would be an easy fight for Mayweather hasn't seen Hector at 130.

that would be one of the worst fights for floyd. Floyd is the smarter more versatile fighter but what camacho does is everything floyd has trouble with. But Camacho would not land combinations on Floyd, even with his hand speed. Nobody I think that I have seen has actually landed a combination on the man. I have yet to see him get two pieced let alone 3 pieced. Castillo got off to left hooks to the ribs but they were just arm punches and smothered partially blocked body work.

Very close indeed a case can be made for either fighter.
but if i had to choose i would pick camacho in a very close fight.

I agree with this. I don't see him landing combinations, but his speedy hands and ability to move in and out of range would make it difficult for Floyd to let his hands go as well. Ultimately this fight would come down to a tactical event and the man who could better establish the jab and dictate distance would win.

Very, very true with the jab idea and the combinations. The only thing besides the jab that would work on PBF is the old one, two. Camacho was great with this combination, well, I am contradicting myself with the combo, but this combo would be effective in this bout.

I believe Camacho would slighty get the edge on PBF at 130 and it would be a competitive fight also at 135 with the edge to PBF. If your giving Camacho props for beating SRL then you really have to get your hands on some of Camacho's fights at 130. PBF was fast at 130, but Camacho was lightning fast. I believe he is in the Guiness Worlds Record for his hand speed. Even in replays in slow motion it looked fast. Your are probably talking about the post Rosario Camacho as far as mentioning that Camacho was not on his level.

This is a tough one. I truely think Camacho was noticibly faster than Floyd. Even in the attached U-tube clip Leonard was very impressed. I think Camacho had all the physical tools to beat Floyd. However, he wasn't as good of a tactician as Floyd. Floyds ability to adapt to fighters is what sets him apart from almost all other physically gifted fighters. If Camacho was on his game, not partying, and took this as his most serious bout, then I'd give him just a slight edge building an early lead and then holding onto it (a previous poster mentioned this too)
