Why doesn't Bob Arum want to make the Pavlik vs Wright fight?

Because Arum is smart. He knows there's no upside to this fight. Winky is a tough, left handed, defensive fighter. He has the style to give Pavlik trouble, and make him look bad. I know alot of people on this board think Pavlik would just steamroll through Winky, but I doubt that would happen. There's a reason Bob was pushing so hard for the Duddy match. Pavlik is a young man and he's trying to build up his popularity. What better way to do that than to put him in there with some defensively challenged set-ups for him to look spectacular against. Winky does not fit this criterea.

This was an ambush by someone with an agenda. Like the "interviewer" you really disregard what Arum is saying. Money was talked. Winky was too high. See my response in the other thread.

 

This would be an ugly, slim win for Kelly. Of course Arum wouldn't want to put it together. Wright has a knack for turning fights into crap, so I really don't want to see him fight anymore.

 

Could we start a petition on the ESB to try and get this fight made?

 

Trinidad is just as much a waste. I'd rather see the proposed Lorenzo fight, and I barely know anything about him.

Arum said Pavlik still will fight on June 7, but the bout will move to Atlantic City, N.J. The leading candidates to face him are Giovanni Lorenzo, Marco Antonio Rubio and Randy Griffin

 

Stinky is pricing himself out on purpose. Because Stinky is AFRAID of Pavlik.

 

Winky has already said that he willing to let Pavlik have the bigger cut. There has been no evidence of Winky pricing himself out.
