Double standard for what? The petty 'sticks and stones' game between nationalists and/or fancamps? The reason it doesn't make sense is because there is no context for what you're saying - you're just creating one. It doesn't make sense because Joe Calzaghe is Joe Calzaghe, and Chad Dawson is Chad Dawson. Why are YOU comparing the two? Why was my friend above us? Don't ask me, I don't know. Calzaghe's and Dawson's circumstances are different, that's all I gave.

Rant all you like if you're seeing this somewhere else, but you're not seeing it here. You're creating it. Also, get the message - nobody is supposed to be fighting the 40 year olds and getting any kind of credit. That's the only thing you should have gotten from what you read. Nobody at all. Neither of them.

As much as I would like to see Chad Dawson fight Joe Calzaghe, Calzaghe has no reason to fight Dawson. Especially since Dawson has to fight Tarver again and he is also obligated to mandatories in order to keep the IBF belt. Besides Dawson's career is just starting and Calzaghe's is ending.

Because Dawson has a glass jaw, Is troubled by pressure from the likes of Johnson and he will get smashed to pieces by Calzaghe.

Yup as much as I am a fan of Dawson he needs to fight the fighters that are in front of him, not chasing ones that clearly say no! (i.e Calzaghe) And Erdei will NEVER fight Dawson. Personally I would prefer if Dawson fought Diaconu instead of Hopkins.

:huh. First off I think that Diaconu is BOO-BOO...And when the **** has Erdei fought anyone of note??? That clown hijacked the title and has been hiding out in Germany ever since getting gift dec over second rate fighters...

As far as Johnson goes didnt Calzaghe duck him Two or three times????

Is Dawson chasing Calzaghe??? I doubt your a fan of Dawson...He pretty much said "OH well, I be the new top dog now" thats not chasing anyone...chasing is what hatton is doing with Mayweather, offering him a fight about every other month:yep

    Zsolt Erdei is 'young' now?

Actually, compared to Dawson's recent opposition, I guess he is...

Same reason as Mayweather. Achieved all he set out to achieve, hunger isn't there anymore. Has millions in the bank, has a family which is the priority now, and level of greatness which they are both comfortable with.

Those 2 reasons are paramount over all others imo.

There's really no big marquee fights for him. Honestly, who outside of boxings diehard internet fans evens knows Chad Dawsons alive. He's a good up and comer but he's not that proven and he's not a name.

A match with carl Froch would be big in the UK but no where else, as he's only just scratching the surface of world class recognition. Outside of that there's nothing that exciting out there anyway and he's clearly had enough of boxing, so he's retired. End of.

he would not gain anything from fighting him,it would not change his resume as dawson is not fully proven so why risk losing his "0" to a fight that does nothing to improve your resume in a win but will take so much away in a loss.
calzaghe would win by a massive ud anyway and dawson would become a has been so best dawson stays away and builds his legacy else where more securely.
dawson should also avoid b hop.
kessler v dawson would be awesome.could go either way.and make the winner.
