Why doesn't Cotto fight out of the southpaw stance?

He wouldn't be half as effective in the southpaw stance as he is in the orthodox.

His lead right hook in the southpaw stance isn't even 1/4th as good as his lead left hook in the orthodox stance.

The reason why his jab is so ****ing destructive is because that arm naturally has all the power in it.

And finally and most importantly he has developed his great footwork and balance in the orthodox stance and hardly moves as well as a southpaw on his feet as he does in the orthodox stance.

Its a great compliment to his game but he should never stick to that stance he should only just switch it up to add to the dynamics of his fights, which is what he exactly does. On top of it all he most likely doesn't have much experience defending himself in the southpaw stance, his defense is probably slightly not as great as his D is in the orthodox stance.
