Why doesn't Deontay Wilder have major commercial endorsements like Joshua has?

    So what gives? Shouldn't an American Heavyweight champion of the World with 39 knockouts be littered with endorsements like Mike Tyson was.


    But instead, a UK heavyweight champion has the endorsements.

    I don't get it.

    You don't get endorsed after saying you want to kill someone in the ring. It's disgusting and no wonder there are no companies desperate to endorse him. Comments like 'body on my record' are a total disgrace and completely unacceptable.

    He needs his legs broken for that and I’m not talking inside the ring.

    You don’t advance on a man with his kids.

    Imagine someone advancing on Wilder when he was taking care of his daughter???

    Here's a question. Name ANY other boxer that has Joshua's marketability and crossover appeal.

    Joshua I believe is the only boxer that I know of that has any mainstream endorsements or advertising. I might be wrong but it is quite unusual for big companies that have nothing to with sport to have a boxer as someone to push their products.

    Hmm, where shall we invest our massive endorsement budget? Hey, here's a boxer who keeps saying how he'd like to have a body on his record and actually kill someone in the ring. Let's tie our companies very valuable brand to him. What could possibly go wrong?
