Why doesn't Deontay Wilder have major commercial endorsements like Joshua has?

I swear it blows my mind when I see what some people have made off of so so ideas. Do you see where Kylie Jenner is a billion on her make-up line? Yes, you read that correctly, just like Broner A BILLION. Only her B is real.

Even if Wilder wasn’t such an idiot and extremely unmarketable, his team are pain in the ass to deal with so no one in their right mind wants to deal with them.

Because he has a **** team around him all looking after their own interests rather than Deontay's. His entire career has been badly guided (in and out of the ring), that much is obvious.

It's disappointing that the devastating bronze bomber, hasn't quite got the recognition he so well deserves. For putting old granpa Ortiz, and the gypsy queen Fury down twice. Maybe if Deontay starts injecting alot of synthol in his arms, and loses the gold teeth, he'll be treated like royalty, like that humble bodybuilder Joshua. Thankyou Deontay for not selling out to the public media.

It would ruin sales for that company.

The guy has a website for goodness sake. And even that doesnt work.

to be fair, AJ has a website, but its flash, if fluff.

He’s trying to go for the Tyson vibe but he’s not scary he’s scared, so when he says all this crazy **** he just gets the negative from it.

He just isn't marketable. He's not well spoken, doesn't present a persona that any major sponsor would like to associate with and lets be clear until recently he wasn't even a star in his own sport, why would any sponsor throw money at him when his profile in terms of his own sport was so low?

Canelo had sponsorship deals with Under Armour, Tecate and Hennessy. But after his failed doping test I suspect his endorsement deals might of dried up.

Mayweather has had endorsement deals. He was signed by Reebok, but then went into Nike store bought a ton of their stuff and shared it on social media and so the next year they didn't renew the deal. He was also sponsored by Hublot and Burger King for the Pac fight. So to say Mayweather hasn't had opportunities from sponsorship is incorrect, as bad as his image is the interest his name brings still interests sponsors.

Joshua is a sponsors dream. He looks the part, talks the part and lets be honest almost everything he does seems to be an ad for his sponsors, he's always wearing under armour, rocks up to press conferences wearing Beats headphones all the time and when he grabs a drink in front of a camera it's likely to be Lucozade. He's estimated to have made $7.5 mill in endorsements last year alone and lets be clear he's a global brand, when I was in Hong Kong 2 years ago I saw posters of him in sports stores, billboards of him and even saw him in a TV advert.

He's not the only Brit boxer who gets sponsorship either Nicola Adams does TV adverts for E45, Khan does adverts for Reebok.

Anthony Yarde has more endorsements than all the champs at LHW. I guess that means he's the best of the bunch and doesn't need to fight any of the top fighters.... just like AJ ;)

The answer is very easy. Wilder has fought 95% bums and he doesn't challenge himself by fighting the best fighters out there. People don't respond to that. They love AJ because he dared to be great and fought Klitschko and he has been fighting top ten boxers the entire time. Wilder is over 40 fights into his career, and he has only just now stepped up and it was against a heart medication patient and a guy who hadn't fought in 3 years...and he really lost that one. If Wilder had fought Klitschko, Haye, Povetkin and some of the rest, he would have easily had Nike and other commercial deals, big time. Being a chump and a ducker does not get you the rewards that daring to be great does.

Brunos brown sauce advert was equal though.

Lennoxs save energy advert was a bit of a letdown but his police advert about waht would do if he saw someone like mayweather (well anyone really, calzaghe monzon, la motta etc) abusing their wife.

cant find lennox energy advert on youtube! it was that bad.
