Why doesn't floyd just quit boxing because it's obvious he aint gonna fight nobody?

Floyd will NOT fight Mosley. He cares too much about his "0". With Mosley's performance over Margarito, some claiming his best, I doubt PBF will pull that trigger.

Berto has a better chance. If he wins over Mosley he will be good enough to satisfy just enough people to say it is a legit competition.

    And PBF as a draw?

I like how people ignores everything else and puts all the PPV buys to their own personal guy.

The reality is it was NOT only Floyd that sold his fight. Against the record breaking ODLH fight, it was probably De La Hoya that accounts for most of that buys. Look the history. ODLH was doing million buys before the mainstream ever heard of PBF. I am not saying PBF did not bring in but out of the 2+ million, I would say 1.3 of that or even more, is purely ODLH.
For the Marquez fight, that is clearly more about PBF than JMM. But JMM probably bought a decent amount since promoters like Tecate has been pushing the fight, especially in the Mexican community.

This is true for Pac too of course. His Cotto fight did well partly because of Cotto.

But yeah PBF has a good following among boxing FANS. Outside of it you would be hard pressed to say that PBF is a draw to casual fans. Manny is a undoubtly the bigger draw internationally and outside of the boxing aficionados.

The truth is that pbf doesn't really care about the fans. Whether you hate him or support him, pbf just don't give a sh*t about you. So what's the point in supporting someone like that who only cares about himself?

    I'm sure Pacquiao loves you.

We are fans of the sport and Floyd does it better than anyone. His antics outside of the ring are mainly for shock and entertainment value. No need to take this stuff so seriously, dude.

I would have loved to see floyd clean out the WW division back in 2008, i mean by beating cotto, williams and mosley. He could have done it too and his legacy would have been emmense, now he gives out too much about people not appreciating him etc, he had the chance to cement it but didnt take it, sorry floyd but you have to take the blame for this one

Securing his "0" is exactly why Floyd will fight Sugar Shane...styles make fights, brother.

Now that it's common knowledge that GBP and Floyd Mayweather are bedmates, is there any doubt in anyones' mind that the "confontation" between the Sugar Man and the Pretty boy after the JMM fight was staged?

Both parties have wanted this fight the entire time; GBP just anticipated a more enthusiastic reaction from the boxing world. Unfortunately for them, the public demanded the Pacquiao fight instead; as a result, you have these ridiculous "negotiations" between Floyd and Manny, with only one side actually wanting the fight to happen.

GBP and Floyd desperately want this fight to happen after the Mosley/Berto fight takes place...GBP truly believe that their fighter will finally be victorious over PBF this time, and Floyd knows that this will be an easy 12 round UD over the kingpin of the welterweight division and a fighter whom everyone respects.

Sugar Shane is a great fighter, but has never been an effective aggressor...he will be following Floyd around the entire fight while eating straight right hands for 12 rounds.

Easy 12 round UD for Floyd...styles make fights.

Floyd's career choices are becoming too easy to see these days!!

Kind of like Floyd's fight with Arturo Gatti at 140lbs? Floyd even admitted at the time of the fight that Gatti was a C level fighter.

He's been wanting to fight Mosley the entire time. It's a fight he knows he can win...

It's obvious to anyone who isn't on Floyd's nuts that PBF wants nothing to do with Manny Pacquiao at this time...

Obvious to anyone who is capable of rational thought.

    Very good post, noob!!:good

This is the most frustrating complaint about floyd's career path thus far...he's not a heavyweight, he actually has the opponents to truly show the boxing world whether or not he is deserving of an ATG status.

He simply refuses to make the fights which the public demands. He has acted this way since his close call with JLC seven years ago...if you notice, that's when it all started.

Before that fight, he was a genuine badass who fought everyone at 130 and 135.

Seems like a totally different fighter, doesn't it?;)

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with "getting attention to boxing" by publically ****ing a 16 year old highschool prom queen on a billard table in Vegas, live on TV, throwing around some ghetto trash talk. That's what is needed ! Just ask this guy from England.

Even though im a huge Floyd fan and think Pac should have taken the tests, The original poster is right if Floyd wont make a Pac fight down the line, Fight Shane or any top fighter he might as well retire.
