Why doesn't John Murray...

    I rate him too, nutjob. He performs to the level of his opposition so far, and I think someone like Peterson is a good test. Peterson's got good fundamentals, can punch a bit (but not one punch KO power), is fast and has decent footwork.

    As Gasman points out, he might as well step it up against another unbeaten prospect and see what happens. Even if he loses, he can learn from it and come again. And it will confirm to everyone what his potential is.

    Anyway, from what I've seen of Peterson and Murray, I think it'd be a good style match up with Peterson taking the early rounds and getting hunted down from the fifth on as soon as John got his distance. Could be a tense, thrilling war of attrition: can Peterson's sharp, fast punches stop Murray's relentless swarming pressure before he gets hurt?

    I think it would be a very exciting match up and just what both guys need in this stage of their careers. It would be a great win for Murray if he can pull it off and send a signal across the atlantic that he is true contender. He hasnt proven himself yet as a true world class fighter. But I think he has it in him to do it.

    The other rumour is he's running out the clock on Mick before signing with Hatton (who have ties to GBP still)

    if he,s going to take risks he might as well fight katsidas, as he's nown over hear, and would be an easy sell for the promters, i think he needs a fight at euro level, then astep to world class, it would shorten the jump for him.
