I mean.. it's almost a given Roy won't retire if he loses to Hopkins. A lose would effectively end his chances at fighting anyone with a name..but he would still be able to fight Danny Green for a multi-million dollar pay check.

because he had already signed the contract with green and one of the requirements on the hopkins contract is that he has to win that fight plus he probvably wants to stay active and is confident he will be victorious

Well I hope they fight at Cruiser, although I heard Roy say he wasnt' going to go get heavy for this fight (maybe 180 range). .. Danny Green hits real hard and there's always the chance Roy could get caught... i mean he's almost 41!

But realistically, this Hopkins fight is probably gonna give him the incentive he needs to beat up on Danny... but just the 1 percent chance something could go wrong has me nervous.

well for one thing it definitely makes the jones-green fight a lot more interesting now

its sorta like when pea was supposed to fight oscar and he had a defense against hurtado as a tune-up and almost blew the payday by losing a decision against the longshot... behind on the cards, lou duva told him he had to ko hurtado and whitaker went out and did it in a very brutal fashion
