I remember that. It seemed berserker at the time but retrospectively it would have been best. But that was very very hard to see at that time. Still, Morales chucked the belt just a couple of years later.

There's no thumb on the glove bro. The glove can't break because it's a part of the mould.

I think you are trying to say that Lennox Lewis poked Vitali Klitschko in the eye with the thumb of the glove, that he threw it intentionally and that it's easy to tell that he threw it.

But you're refusing to produce any proof because it's a waste of your time

If you're so sure about this, start a poll and see what the majority of boxing fans think about your line of reasoning. But be warned, your warped sense of logic is going to be harshly criticised.

Might want to do that in general, then at least you might scrounge up a few other nut jobs to support you.

The proof is in the pudding as they say

It's clear what side of the fence you're on

As I previously stated the neutrals sided with vitali after the fight

That tells people all they need to know

The actual saying is "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" which means doing something is conclusive upon the thing being done. You know, as opposed to endlessly talking about it.

Start a poll that has already been done

    No thanks

I just live with the knowledge that I'm right and have been able to resist the brainwashing and thank god I am free from your perverse point of view

Don't care if nobody supports me although I know many do

Yeah, if Newman is actually to be taken at his word, face value, he seemed quite revolutionary and admirable even, in trying to break the tyranny of the alphabet soup and Don King-rigged-ratings.

Of course, whether he should be taken at face value is another matter entirely.

Maybe he just had a Napoleon complex and was looking to overturn and command the boxing establishment all at once, with the heavyweight championship as his bargaining chip - kind of like what Cus D'Amato tried with Patterson, but actually not nearly as bad.

Ya, and like intentially poking another fighter in the eye is easy to do when fighters are constantly moving their heads when punches are thrown. Lewis threw that punch from quite a distant, it wasn't a short punch by any stretch of the imagination.

I think any promoter/manager who stands up against those guys is going to look like a maverick boss but in the end he had his own problems. Supposedly he was the most hideous negotiator ever and Spinks-Tyson nearly fell through with him at the tiller.

Was Bob Arum involved with that one?

It seems to me that those who want to be educated can simply watch the fight.
