    :thumbsup

Even this run-up to Mayweather-Pacquiao is a decisive verdict against Lewis.

Lewis has one of the best resumes among HW champions; he is a head-to-head monster. But the world doesn't care! Instead, it is Ali and Tyson that are mentioned, and whose opinions are sought.

"Were Lewis American..." Nope. Look at Pacquiao.

    Thread question answered.

All good except that Lewis is commenting the fight, which Kind of throws a money wretch into that argument. And in case you weren't aware it wasn't just Tyson who fought one of the biggest PPV events of all time, Lewis was part of it too.

Lewis should have rematched Vitali. I would have liked to see a fit, motivated Lewis against Big Klitschko. I think it would have been a fight worth watching. :thumbsup Also, Lewis vs Sanders. I know Corrie wanted a crack badly at one stage.

I rate Lewis very high all time. I think what hurts his legacy are two points. One he was koed in two bouts basically with single punches. Secondly although we did see him come out aggressive against Golata and Rudduck he did fight tentatively at times notably in three bouts with Holy. An aggressive motivated in shape Lewis would be a challenge for any fighter who ever lived.

Funny enough I started comparing the Tyson/Lewis fight to the Floyd/Pac fight. Like Floyd, Lewis was 38, like Pac, Tyson was 36.

Like Floyd, Lewis had a size advantage, Like Pac, Tyson had a punchers chance.

But I agree, Lewis doesn't deserve a whole lot of credit for beating Tyson, but had he lost the fight, We'd be talking about what an ATG fighter Tyson is, so Lewis was damned no matter what happened.

The funny part is, while you are getting all agitated about Lewis he can sit at home looking at his 100 million dollar + bank balance and,

    1. Feel very sorry that his hero ( Ali ) is suffering terrible health problems. and

    2. Not give a sh it that Tyson hasn't got a pot to pi ss in comparatively speaking.:lol::lol:

This proves one Lewis' weakness.A decent punch was too much for him.
At least Tyson could take punches.

Plus don't forget Lewis' humiliated face after the fat bum Mercer
fight. Funny the 42 years old Holmes beat an unbeaten Mercer
easier than Lewis a fat one.

Little baby ? What about Lewis' Mccall loss? After this fight the brave Lewis changed his trainer and licked Steward's ass like a re****ed hysterical *****.

Yes he could take punches, so could McCall, so could Chuvalo but as they all proved, that's not the sole criteria of what makes a heavyweight champion.

Lewis fought possibly the biggest collection of punchers of any heavyweight champion,[Ali vies with him,] he was stopped twice,in 44 fights ,he re-matched and stopped both men.

It always irks me when people like you question fighters courage .
How many fights have you had?:think

Lewis entire claim to fame is that Tyson fight. Just look at big George comments after the fight that Lewis was even better than ali.

This I completely agree with. Lost all respect for Lewis for his post fight interview and his refusal to give Vitali a well deserved rematch. Very cowardly stuff. Finally he was up against someone who was not washed up.

Big George didn't use just that one fight to make that statement, it was based on the totally of his career.

So what you're essentially saying is that Lewis shouldn't have retired and should have fought on and on until he became a babbling idiot just for your amusement.

    Great post.
