Why doesn't Lennox have universal approval ?

Lewis wasn't 38 years old against Tyson.He was 37 years old against Vitali and it was his last fight.

 

Ydksab if you think you can't be shot in a year in your mid 30's.

Seriously how old are you? I'm in my 50's and I can say categorically that you decline rapidly from your mid 30's onward. Especially if you're an elite athlete. Hell by their mid 30's, Dempsey was finished, Marciano was finished, Ali was finished, Frazier was finished, Tyson was finished, and yet you're trying to tell me that Lewis wasn't shot, even though it was there for all to see.

I really don't know what else to say about this, if it's not obvious to all.

 

Fair enough, but he was 2 years older than Tyson and that was more or less my point.

 

Personally, I think it's nice that instead of beat the **** out of your family members, like some boxers do, you're consulting them and appreciating the sacrifices they made to get you to where you are.

That's a refreshing change, one that I can respect.

- Lewis didn't fought the biggest collection of punchers.
Only Klitschko was his actual dangerous opponent who
was a decent puncher (not hard puncher).
- Rahman and McCall never weren't good punchers.
Rahman couldn't knock out the 42 years old Berbick and
Mccall couldn't knock the 45 years old Holmes out.
This proves these were featherfisted fighters (considering
Tyson destroyed a reigning champion Berbick and the 38 years
old Holmes.) but they could destroy Lewis without problem-
Because somebody could destroy the glass-chinned Lewis
doesn't mean he had power.

- True Lewis had 44 fights including lots of unimportant bum-beating.

Lewis looked terrific against Tyson the year before. He was not shot v.s. Vitali. His performance against such a younger, top caliber fighter proves. I believe Lennox was the fresher of the two at the time of the stoppage and was clearly landing the harder shots.

 

So it was the shrivelling Violet, as opposed to the fresh one.

 

Sorry but 02 / 09/ 1965 ( Lennox ) and 30 / 06 / 1966 ( Tyson ) is nothing like 2 years.

He was actually 3 months short of 37 for Tyson, and 3 months short of 38 for V.K.
