Bad calls happen. I am just pointing out that it could have gone either way on a whim so the result was inconclusive. Lewis went on to duck Vitali and robbed boxing community of a rematch. That is one of the reasons he does not have universal approval.

 

But hundreds of others have been.And Lewis was on his feet at the time of the McCall stoppage.

 

He managed to get up but he was wobbly and shaky in both his legs and eyes, he was leaning on the ref, the ref asked him if he was ok and he didn't respond and had that still looking dazed and bedazled look on his face, the stoppage was fair. They even showed a clipping on youtube where once the time went past 10-11 second Lewi was still wobbly and dazed.

People keep talking about the Holmes-Snipes knock down, i have watched it and it was totally different, Holmes was dazed and down but he got control of his legs and had that assured look on his face and he responded to the ref when asked about his condition.

 

What's your response when people ask you about "your condition"?

Lewis Atg haters still hating Lewis Ktfo and made his face look like a baseball their beloved V klichko.

 

He was born in London, raised in Canada, fought for Canada in the Olympics, turned pro representing England, spending all his time in Jamaica. No one could really stake a claim to Lennox, and his personality when fighting was a bit aloof to say the least. But not being American doesn't help as a heavy for recognition imo..H2h no1 for me

 

He was sparked out by Hasim Rahman in an undisputed world title fight.
He had a big goofy smile on his face, acting a fool, when Rahman iced him with one punch.
Sure, he got Rahman back nicely in a revenge attack rematch but that doesn't wipe the loss away or the image of him being caught like a big oafish amateur.

How great was Hasim Rahman ?
Oleg Maskaev fought the guy twice too and knocked him out twice, both times out of the ****ing ring.

And there are other objective observers as well who only look at performance.

And two times Lewis was made to look silly by average Heavyweights.

And his two biggest wins were against guys who were past their best, one of whom was at least 11 yrs past his best.

And the Klitchko fight was inconclusive because of the cut. It was still up in the air when the cut changed things.

Lewis was a great fighter, but I think his ATG positioning has been inflated by many on here.

Lewis gets a lot of love world wide.The only ones that hate him are Klitchko fan boys whose stilll **** they owe money they lost when Lewis KTFO their beloved Klitchko

 

He was a great fighter and a good champion.....his lack of appeal IMO is because he was sort of aloof and came across as pompous.....he was easy to dislike but not hate just not real personable
