There's Sergio Gabriel Martinez there who's the (WBC interim champion) and he's going to be featured on HBO for the second time. Vernon Forrest - 6'0 Corey Spinks Paul Williams - 6'2 (owns a win over Margarito) Daniel Santos - 5'11(owns a win over Margarito) Sergio Mora - 6'0 Roman Karmazin - 5'11 James Kirkland - 5'10 Alfredo Angulo - 5'10 Oscar 5'10 John Duddy 5'11 Joel Julio 5'10 Yuri Foreman 5'10 Alex Bunema 5'9 the list goes on and on ... there are marketable foes that have been featured on a major network and could stand tall against Margarito. They're his size and for some of those guys, very strong with they're punching power. I can see one of those guys knocking out Margarito
Margarito holds a win over Martinez ... that would be the gateway to a new title ... the world knows who Mayorga, Forrest, Julio, Bunema, Mora, and Santos.
Been there done that. He looked like **** against Santos. Before the cut I think that he was gaining momentum, but he just didn't look good.
He should go up to 154 but wont. Fighters @ 154 are faster, bigger, and overall better at 154 than 147. This might have something to do with it.
seriously though margo already tried it. he's only effective at 147 he knows this and does not want to take the risk of racking up more losses
When Margarito rematched Santos, Dan was beating him pretty good. Margarito needs to be able to bully the smaller guys, thats how he is most effective. No worries, Shane is going to beat him, I promise.
No Floyd isnt retired, he is laying in the cut waiting for a easy big money fight to come up, the only reason he announced retirement is so that he didnt have to hear his fans such as you, ask him about fighting the winner of Cotto Margarito, I mean dont you find it odd that the WBC Welter Weight Champion and the so called Linear champion decided to hang them up just days before the Cotto Margarito fight?
