I've never heard Martinez saying that he's gonna fight GGG even if they are in the same weight class now.

Have you heard anything like that before?

He's gone on record as saying he would like to fight him next year, if possible, once his hand heals.

Martinez said he would like to fight Golovkin, but he has been held up with injuries..............Golovkin is not claiming that Martinez is ducking him...........

Martinez was very smart in picking his opposition on his way to stardom.
He won a title vs a drunk, and made his first defense vs a very chinny but smart fighter. It was a fight he had to take for redemption.
After Williams, he went on the Euro Blevel tour, and had a good fight with Jr.

The thing about Martinez is that he's really a LMW. His frame, like GGGs, is smallish in the grand scheme and he only moved up to MW at the twilight of his career.

He's looked so good b/c his style is so well suited to beat come forward bangers.
Golovkin is everything BUT a come forward banger.

IMO, Sergio did what he needed to do to stay on top, and he made the biggest fight of his career vs Chavez.

He should look exclusively for a Canelo or Mayweather fight and then retire. Period.

GGG is all wrong for him and it would be suicide for him to make that fight.:-(

What a bull**** thread, when was Martinez supposed to fighr Golovkin? None of you dickriders knew about Golovkin until a few fights ago. Martinez has faced serious competition since becoming champ, all full fledged middleweight contenders in Barker, Chavez, Macklin & Murray & he hasn't dragged anyone up from 154 to fight him unlike Golovkin (Ouma & Rosado). Martinez unfortunately has had a couple of bad injuries but has gone on record stating he will fight GGG once he's had a tune up following injury so STFU.
