Sometimes he's just too drunk to join the team so they sub him out. No biggie.

Merchant is on his way out of the business soon. HBO doesnt want us to be too attached again and demand they re-sign him like in 2007.

Merchant might have made the fight last night marginally more entertaining. His drunken, incoherent, rambling is nearly always hilarious.

What accent? Kellerman is from New York, but he doesn't have a very heavy accent. In fact, he doesn't really have one at all. If you listen closely, you hear some features of the NYC accent...you wanna hear an accent? Harold Letterman...now THAT'S an accent.

I'm surprised Merchant didn't do the Pacquiao fight.

Don't know. Better question, why doesn't Merchant role over and die already??

Obviously they have been grooming Kellerman to be Merchant's replacement, so have been having Kellerman take over Merchant's role in more and more fights.

Unfortunately Kellerman is no Larry Merchant and the HBO commentary team will really lose something when Merchant retires.

I miss Merchant, he's by far my favourite commentator. Just hilarious, and so brutally truthful a lot of the time.
