why doesn't pirog and golovkin fight british fighters for more exposure

    They are very desperate to break into the US market, but no one is willing to give them recognition fighting a barker, murray or macklin would elevate there status even more. And the fights would be easier to make, macklin and pirog were signed to fight a few years ago.

    yes, either that or fight anybody on the undercard of an American fight

    maybe try to get on the undercard of a las vegas ppv

    Are you sure the fights would be easier to make?
    Maybe just as difficult and with less pay-out?

    Germany is already a large market for boxing, if 3G wanted to he could just stay in Germany and beat up poor fighters. In ten years time Sturm would die of old age and Golovkin would inherit his place. But no ...they think tripple-G is the real real thing and so the USA is the right place for him. Remember it is not just the fights on TV, it is also access to the best trainers (Abel Sanchez) and sparring partners (Saul Alvarez) there is. The UK does not have this.

    They've both already tried. Instead of Fuchigama, Golovkin offered 100% of his purse to a UK fighter and was turned down, he didn't say who but I suspect it was Murray. GGG also tried to get Barker in the past. Before Pirog fought Jacobs, he was trying to get a fight with Macklin for a WBO eliminator, Macklin declined.

    I am not sure but I think that Pirog tried to get a fight with Barker at some point.
