why doesnt ruiz have a bigger knockout to win ratio when he obviously hits very hard

Like I said, it's not that he doesn't punch hard. Ruiz hurts just about everyone he's fought. He just isn't a great finisher. You have to recognize when a guy is hurt, and how to effectively attack him when he is. And where to hit him in those moments.

That, he isn't so good at.

 

I know you weren't. I was just acknowledging your post. I agree, he hits hard.

 

He got hit cleaner by Ruiz that’s for sure.

 

Ruiz couldn't drop a shot Liakhovich once and went 10 rounds. He couldn't stop Zumbano Love. He couldn't hurt a 40 year old Arreola once. He couldn't drop or stop Joell Godfrey. He landed big, clean shots on all those guys.

He's not a puncher.

 

He lost one round.

 

If he didn’t hit hard, why would he have made more opponents quit than any other heavyweight today?

 

Wouldn't it be one of those cases where there's fighters who hit much harder with single shots whereas Ruiz throws a lot with power so it's a subjective kind of x hits harder than x thing? Worst thing is when you have a fighter which throws with volume and hard and can turn your lights off with single shots out of nowhere like Pacquiao.
