Why doesn't Sergio Martinez chase Andre Ward or some other top 160 fighter

Martinez won't chase Ward because he is too small for SMW.

Sergio is looking for big money fights yes, but he is looking for legacy fights too and Mayweather and Cotto tick both boxes (money/legacy). Geale, Golovkin and N'Jikam don't tick those boxes as convincingly as Mayweather and Cotto.

Sergio knows his 15 mins are about up so he wants to cash out, period!!! He was in Argentina and Spain fighting in obscurity against tomato cans for years. Martinez has built a following and is pushing 40 so he wants a big money fight. All this about legacy fights and him wanting to fight the best and seeking challenges is total bull****!!! This dude just wants a big check. End of story!!!!

If his next fight is a rematch with Chavez Jr then I'll be more inclined to agree with you that he just wants a big cheque.

He called out Floyd because he is the biggest money maker in the sport.

Cotto because he is one of the biggest money makers in the sport.

Canelo because he is one of the biggest money makers in the sport.

Pacquiao because he is one of the biggest money makers in the sport.

That's also why he fought Chavez Jr.

The only person at 160 that has actually earned a title shot is Geale and he'd get murked.

But yet he just fought the biggest 160lber who was also in the top 5.:patsch

If you are too stupid to SEE that Martinez wouldn't do well at 168 because at 160 he is already outsized most of the time then you are the dumbest ****ing idiot I've ever seen in my life.

Martinez fought Pavlik who's bigger than Ward and Chavez jr both. Chavez jr is at least the same size as Ward. The difference is Ward is light years ahead of Pavlik and Chavez jr in terms of skill and Sergio would get beaten like a run away slave!!! So take your woe is me, boo hoo Sergio is too small fanboy bull**** and get the **** out of here. Sergio might as well challenge Matthysse, while he's busy chasing smaller fighters around...

It's simple yet even the most simplistic minds can't comprehend, yes I am referring to you, taxi driver.

Obviously Martinez is getting older and wants to bank in a few big money fights before he retires. This sport is his JOB so when he's done with this, he's not driving a cab like you and your ancestors did, he's relying on the money this sport provides and he has limited time. Despite their size, Mayweather and Pacquiao are the only two who could provide a mega-fight. I think it's obvious and fair to say Martinez doesn't fear size, Williams, Pavlik and Fraud Jr. were all huge compared to him. Hope this isn't too complicated for a **** like you.
