I mean... fight Mormeck as a warm up and then another contender. He would quite obviously be able to do it. Would this make boxing into a joke??
It wouldn't make it in to a joke because we already have Prizefighter with a similar-ish format. But it would show the Heavyweight division up to be very weak, if people didn't already know.
Could be done. Fight Chizora then Haye all in one night... But why minimize profit? When you can pizza face them with 4 months apart for extra 20Mill?
Would he get two purses or just the one covering the two fights? He'd need to be properly compsenated to cover the risk involved (he could get cut or hurt in the first fight and that could effect his chances in the second). Seeing as the same paying audience would likely be there for just the one fight, it would be impractical. Two fights in two nights would make more sense.
I can see that... :yep Brit fans: "There's only ooooooonnnne Derek Ch... BOOM! ...David Haaaaaaye! Only oooooooonnne Dav... BOOM! ...Tyson Fuuury!"
What would be good is taking on three glass jawed frauds way beneath the level of Mormeck that he'd never entertain fighting on their own. Take a couple of unskilled journeyman who habitually get knocked out then add a name for the third fight. Audley would be prefect. Or how about a nobody for the warm up, then Kimbo second and Harrison third? That would be pretty awesome
Why not? And why not Vitali as well? On 26 April 1975, George Foreman fought 5 guys on one night in Toronto: Alonzo Johnson, Terry Daniels, Jerry Judge, Charley Polite, and Boone Kirkman. Upon the conclusion of each bout, the next fighter would enter the ring for a maximum of three rounds, for a potential total of fifteen rounds. The fights were not officially scored, but George soundly defeated all five opponents, three by KO, the other two men each went the full distance of three rounds with Foreman, those two being the 4th and 5th fighters to come out.
Mike Perez is the only boxer to do it,he fought 2 fights on the same night in Limerick around 2 years ago, prizefighter doesn't count as its a tournament!!
Yes. :hey (Although, I do see where you are getting Vitali from seen as he is fighting Chisora, and probably Haye afterward).
