Why don't all fighters seek out world class trainers?

Nazim is a great trainer, but Mosley's opponents and their styles had more to do with his resurgence than anything.

because their trainers are good. Most trainers who we do not know still know boxing well and the whole game. They have been training for years. What makes a trainer top notch is that one fighter who elevates them to that level gets them exposed as a great trainer. A great trainer can be in obscurity for years, unlike a great fighter. Emanual Steward was just an electrician from Detroit before Hearns became famous. I know he had Hilmer Kenty, but let's be honest, Hearns is the fighter who made Steward famous. Without Hearns, Steward would not be on HBO now. It is that one fighter who is great who makes the trainers well known. But many of the trainers who are not known are still great trainers.

I would agree that World Class trainers are countable on 1 hand.
Some of the ones listed as World Class arent.

And I think Williams corner did a GREAT job.
Though I had him loosing by 2 points. a SD was OK (not that one score) long as they rematch. His corner told him exactly WHAT to do and HOW to do it. Which is shorten his punches up and MAN up on the jab. Now Martinez's corner sucked. If they told him to throw straight punches he would have won. Hell I wonder IF he CAN throw a straight punch?

the guy in your avatar had a 33yr old trainer who let others take control of corner. Cotto was a dead man walking since the beginning. World Class fights demand world class trainers. Santiago was a bum trainer.

You gotta do what's comfortable and what works, I guess.
