Why dont Andy Lee & CEJ spar?

    They train in the same gym, same trainer (Booth), same weight etc etc
    They bring in people to spar! But not each other!
    Surely they have everything to gain by sparring each other?

    Why not?

    I would speculate that Eubank Sr doesn't want his son to spar Andy Lee because he doesn't want Lee to figure Jr out. We all know what Lee does: he studies the other guy's patterns for a few rounds, and figures out when he can land a good power counter.

    I wouldn't want to spar a guy I was going to have to fight for real. There's no way the Eubank's would want to give Lee the opportunity to find *****s in CEJ's armour.

    It's funny because both fighters benefit from sparring but the better fighter benefits the most.

    I don't agree. I think you're allowing the weaker fighter more information to prep for the fight and that it'll make the fight closer than it would have naturally been.
