Why don't boxers fight in tax havens Like Monaco playground of the rich and famous I know there's a card there like 1-2 a year why wouldn't it be more popular saves money for everyone
Not sure how you'd save that much really. Say a UK fighter fought there, you're still gonna be taxed on overseas earnings as far as I'm aware
Right, but in States like New York, if you fight there, your purse is taxed by the state of New York, too. So you're taxed twice for the same earnings. I believe, even if you live in the U.S., if you fight in NY, you have to pay NY taxes on your purse and then federal and state (where you live) taxes at the end of the year because you reside in your state. So you pay state taxes twice on the same purse.
They should. But I don't know how big of a gate you can get in Monaco. Golovkin fought Murray there, and the place they fought in seemed pretty small.
By American standards Vegas is essentially a tax haven. That's why Mayweather insisted on fighting there
But really the place to sell out arena is monacos football stadium about 25k so gates can be big and the can avoid tax by having a Monaco based bank account or a Cayman island one or even Isle of Man all tax heavens
