.... wear earplugs? Time and again people talk about hometown decisions, how ineffective aggression or 1 big shot is cheered to an extent people believe it influences the judges. Therefore, why not have the judges block out the sound in the arena and that could cut down on some of the controversial decisions..
Oh my god!!! why hasnt anyone thought of this before!!! your so smart man! Keep up the good work:good
Wouldn't they still see the excitement on the audiences faces whenever they're orgasming over perceived "amazing" combos?:think
sarcasm detector's off the chart here, but surely it's a simple way of decreasing the chances of a 'hometown' decision.
I guess it might help but not much. You'll still have thousands of people jumping out of their seats. Plus from where the judges are, they can hear clean shots so it might take away from that aspect. If your talking about hometown decisions, a lot of that **** lies w/ the promoters too.
I agree that it's not just a simple solution that will prevent them full stop, but I genuinely do think it would be a good idea because if one half of the arena goes mad for a combo that a judge thinks weren't scoring shots, they may be convinced due to the cheering that they were scoring shots from another angle. It's just a suggestion, but it's something that could be tested as it's not going to cost much to implement.
I dont buy into the crowd making an impression on the judges. How can the judges, sitting ringside, be swayed by people sitting hundreds of rows back?
Because judges are human. Having a **** load of other people be excited can pass the emotion onto the judges.
Because judges are incompatant. They're paid to judge what's happening in the ring, not in the crowd.
there should be some kind of comittee so when a judge scores a fight bad with no logical reason he/she be suspended from judging for a while (month or 2). maybe that wll stop the bullsh*t scoring
