Why don't Kovalev move up to Cruiserweight?

Everyone keeps asking for Ward to move up, it's probably not going to happen. So if Kovalev is as confident as he says he is, saying 'he'll fight anyone' why don't he move up to cruiserweight and fight someone like Marco Huck then? Easy for Kovalev to ask Ward to come up, should take some of his own medicine.

Cruiserweight is joke of a division currently. So called champions milking their belts and so on.Dont think that Usyk will get his chance soon, might as well move up to HW now.

On the other hand,Kovalev is not big enoug for cruiser and he wont have the same power, his chin also wont hold up probably there. If anyone will have success at cruiser its Beterbiev.Hes strong as bull and has the chin also.

Because he'd have to get fat to do it.

Ward fought his last fight at LHW and you have the cheek to say that Kovalev not moving 25 pounds north of the weight he made for every one of his professional fights is the same as Ward, already fighting his last fight at LHW, not fighting at the full limit but insisting at funny catch weight stipulations?

That notion is so ridicolous, you must either be trolling or you are, well not very smart, to put it mildly.

Tinman just made a thread saying Kovalev was 183lbs on fight night, and he want Kov to face wilder, my suggestion is more realistic. 176 Lbs is cruiserweight.

    Many reasons

    1. 25 pounds is one hell of a jump. Its not like from super middle to light heavy that's only 7 pound. Barely any fighters can make that jump

    2. His got way bigger fights at 175. eg Beterbiev,Stevenson,Ward,Gvodsyk,Mekhontsev,Bivol all coming up and 175 is going to be the hottest division in boxing. He would be a fool to move up now

Well according to your own rules, Ward should fight at CW, too as he enters the ring above 175. Are you dumb?

It doesn't matter the circumstances, it's 100% guaranteed that if fighter A wants to make a superfight with fighter B in the division below, some joker will make a thread about fighter A moving up a division because...no reason except he wants to fight a fighter from the division below.

Ward-Kovalev is an incredible superfight between two pound-for-pounders. That's why Ward might move up.

No money in cruiserweight. Kova would jump past a **** division and go straight for HW champ wilder. And he would ktfo cold baby

Kova the new wbc he champ of the world. Easy done...

Why don't we remove weight classes altogether?

Agreed 100%. Mayweather should also go up to 168 to fight Ward. You gotta beat the best if you wanna be the best. A 3G fight with Adonis at 175 is also intriguing
