there is a difference between being the best in the division and being the man. Pacquiao is the best but he has to prove himself by becoming the champ, otherwise its all hearsay

dude there is a difference between everyone saying a boxer is the best in a division, and that boxer going out there and proving it in the ring. When Floyd beat Baldomir and Zab at Welter, that's pretty much what he did. Everyone was saying he was the best welterweight anyways, but he went out there and proved it in the ring. You can't consider yourself the man in a division until you have done the latter.

Pac has just moved up in division. What the hell has he done at LW ? Beaten the B level David Diaz who barely beat a shot at pieces Morales and was being scholled by Santa Cruz.

the WBC says Pac is the champ, but the WBO, WBA, and IBF say Campbell is the champ, and the Ring says Casamayor is the champ, therefore there is a dispute over who the champ is. When everyone agrees one who the champ is, he is undisputed champion

Casamayor has been holding that ring-title up for hostage, only 2 fights in 2 years, one of them was a huge gift over a journeyman and the other was life & death win over a B class rugged fighter.

If JMM wins over Casamayor, it wont even matter because Pac already has a recent win over JMM.

that's exactly what i'm saying. if and when nate and pac unify, the there should be no dispute, fine, nate holds more belts now, but after they fight, the winner, for all intents and purposes should be the undisputed champ even if casamayor holds a GBP belt that should be santa cruz' by now

no, what you were saying is that PAcquiao is already #1 in the lightweight division, because he is #1 p4p

well isn't he? if you are the best at something, then you are the man in your division. that's that. if you are not the best in your division then you have no business whotsoever in being #1 p4p
