Why dont modern day fighters, fight more often?

    I've become learned in this thread... Always thought it had more to do with their amatuer careers... huh

    This is one of the things that I liked about Mike Tyson.

    As big as a draw as he was there was a time where he fought regularly.

    I dont think they would make more money by fighting more often. It like an atticipation thing. If you see it all the time you wont care about it as much. 2nd they see the effect it has had on fighters back in the day, noone wants to end up brain damaged at the end of their career.

    Look at mma they fight quite often but get paid alot less as far as big names compared to big names. We have yet to c the long term affect mma has on a fighter but i still think it wouldnt b as worse as boxing.
