Why don't Pac and Hatton make it a real "prize" fight?

Pac could get, say, a guaranteed 40 percent. and Ricky a guaranteed 35 percent.

That leaves 25 percent on the line, that the winner gets. A draw and you split it.

I find it ridiculous every time I hear about these money disputes. How come nobody ever even brings this idea up???

Let the winner be rewarded! What a novel idea!

Hatton could earn as much as 60 percent and Pac as much as 65.

Too risky? OK then Pac gets a guaranteed 45 and Ricky 40, or Pac 50/Ricky 45.

Point is, these disputes are easily resolved this way and it drives me batty it isn't done.

Or, even better, they are at 52/48 now. Pac has hinted at accepting 55/45.

So double the three percent discrepancy. to six percent.

so pac if pac wins its 58/42 Pac if Ricky wins its 54/46 Ricky gets the bigger share.

    now thats cool

there has to be a way to work this out

50/50 if the fight is a draw.... 60% or even 70% for the winner....

Thats the way EVERY FIGHT SHOULD BE IMO.

Yeah & the other guy is a multi-millionaire, which is more wrong ?... the guy that aint the elite fighter (even tho he is top 10 p4p:nut) getting a decent wage or the guy that is 100% financially secure right now asking for more $$$$ & putting the fight in danger ?

    You work it out.

    :rofl

I thought it was already discussed in other previous threads that Hatton has the more earnings amonst the two.
Furthermore, Pacman's payments are/were made into good use of helping his countrymen. So I guess he is now a pauper compared to Hatton. That's why he needs the bigger cut...

ricky is the bigger draw. he has a whole country that will follow him no matter where he gpes. he is a peoples champ and will sell out a fight versus no one and in reality Pac needs him more than he needs pac. so yes ricky should actually be getting the lions share. he is the champ and the bigger draw. the idea a making it a real prize fight would actually make too much sense. thats why it wont happen.

I think it is Ricky that needs Manny more than Manny needs Ricky. Where will Ricky go to have a chance of redeeming himself against a P4P#1. Such a chance (2X) can only happen to a fighter once in a lifetime. He sure is one lucky guy...

I have actually lost respect for 'Money' Pacquiao since this financial dispute became public. He seems like nothing but a money grubbing roach (albeit a talented one) and I now hope Hatton puts him down hard if the fight goes ahead.

Is Ricky looking to redeem himself or is Ricky looking to beef up his retirement fund?

true. he aint even make top 10 in the p4p list and pac is his shortest ticket to join the elite 10.

manny is the most deserving guy to command in the bargaining table, he owns all the aces. the only valid argument which ricky can present is; he has all the backing of massive brits whose populariy is convertible to cash. while manny has backing of entire pinoys, his popularity has no chance to transform into money, coz PPV is not affordable to a developing nation like Phils.

but out of respect to his stature, pac can switch to coto, margo, valero in order to preserve his dignity as the globally named biggest boxing icon today. with these, where did Ricky go? Rematch w/ PBF? no way this match will sell out, he was totally outsmarted by the man.
