    Because Canelo was well into his prime when they fought. Saying he was "pre prime" at age 27 and was already a 2 division champion that had wins over two HOF'ers is quite frankly being intellectually dishonest.

    "Pre-Prime" :facepalm:

    Except Canelo clearly wasn't in his prime and has gotten significantly better since then

    Canelo has accomplished more in boxing through 32 years of life than GGG has through 40

    I think Canelo has regressed since his venture north of 160.

    Canelo 2-1 over GGG (2-0-1 OFFICIALLY)
    4 div Champ, Undisputed at 168.
    Will go down in the history books as the better and more accomplished of the 2. MARK IT.

    Pre-what? No, he was already a veteran almost and had plenty of fights and wins against top fighters when he fought GGG.

    Canelo circa the GGG rematch was probably at his peak. In no way, shape, or form was he pre-prime. Skill-wise, the only thing he's gotten better at since then is slowly marching forward throwing single power punches to the bicep. He's actually gotten noticeably worse at a lot of things since then.
