Why don't people still discuss Floyd vs Cotto?

It would still be an interesting fight, despite the fact that I see Floyd shredding Cotto. Cotto is still undefeated in my eyes since his only "loss" was to ol' Rockgloves.

You might not be a fan of him but this is a ridiculous statement to make.

I agree with you though, I want see Cotto-PBF more than any other fight involving Floyd.

Cotto's last 3 fights were a TKO loss and 2 wins against C level fighters

Marquez's last 3 fights were 2 TKO wins against 2 of the best at lightweight and a SD loss to the P4P number 1 (2 at the time)

Hatton's last 3 fights were a TKO loss against the P4P number 1, a win against a B grade fighter and a win against the number 2 ranked guy at LWW

Pacman's last 3 fights were a SD win against the P4P number 3 and TKOs of guys at 2 new weights

Who of the 4 is most deserving of a fight with PBF?

Certainly not the guy getting stopped and cherry picking paper titles off of C level fighters.

Cotto has the tools to beat FLoyd b/c he is master of EFFECTIVE PRESSURE. Let's not forget this people. Financially, FLoyd vs Pac makes great sense. But if we want to see a great fight, Floyd vs Cotto is where it's at.[/quote]'

Now you're talking....however, this fight will never happen!!!

Why? because Gayweather has to sign off on it and his hand will be
    too damn shaky!!!!

That's all alleged. There's no physical evidence that Margarito had anything impropper in his wraps against Cotto.

My posts are not biased towards Cotto. Many of my posts about Cotto are simply a dose of reality.

I'm a huge Cotto fan, and i'd love to see him get a crack at pbf. In stylistic terms however, Cotto isn't a nightmare for floyd, far from it, floyd eats pressure fighters for fun. Pressure will never, never beat floyd, you need a whole lot more than that to hang with floyd. One thing in cotto's favour though is his adaptability, he's not just a pressure fighter as many people think. Even with everyhting cotto brings to the table, floyd would still have enough to out manouvre him.

If you are looking for a pure stylistic nightmare for floyd, one man sticks out like a sore thumb - Paul Williams... now there is a stylistic nightmare!

I fully agree a Mayweather-Cotto fight is the one I want more than any other! Although, I do feel a Pac-man-Mayweather fight would bring more hype and better crossover appeal to the general public, which being a boxing fan, I like. I actually just posted a short blog about what I would like to see Mayweather do in the next couple fights, check it out and let me know what you think.
