Why don't people talk about Fury's glass chin?

He's like Larry Holmes, decent enough chin but his excellent recuperating powers are what makes him special. Also it's a bit silly trash talking a guys chin if he's never lost a fight, and he's fought some bangers.

Steve Robinson, the Geordie Drago has been sparring Usyk and told me he's seen him dropped twice with body punches in sparring. Also Dubois definitely had him badly hurt with a body shot.

On the flip side Fury's chin looked shot vs. N'Gannou. Yes N'Gannou bangs but every time he touched him he looked shaky. I know Fury wasn't at his best there but very concerning.

I'd say both men have a decent shot at a KO here. Usyk probably has a slightly better chance at winning on points.

Just to add Fury has also been on the deck from fighters who weigh alot less than him Steve Cunningham at 210 pounds come to mind.

Also apart from ATG Mike Tyson when Holmes past his prime, the only other fighters who decked Holmes were atleast ranked contenders Shavers, Snipes.

Pajkic who only had 4 stoppages, Cunningham who was a Cruiserweight, and of course an MMA fighter were not ranked Heayweights.

It’s been done to death on here over the years and it’s back up again, yes Fury has been down multiple times but he gets up and not only does he get up he also puts it straight back on his opponent. Fury will not quit and nobody who has had him down has been able to keep him down let alone beat him. As also mentioned on here Hughie has a better chin than Tyson, now Hughie may have his critics but he has in his career ate some big shots, nobody can take that away from him.

Because Fury doesn't have a glass chin. He took the best shot from hard hitters and
every stinkin' time he got up and won. Screws up those biased theories.

Fury has a dogshyte chin. He gets rocked and hurt by all manner of grazing and nothing shots.

Here's the absolutely awful Nicolai Firtha making Fury do a chicken dance.

Here's an obese Chisora in his slap-punching phase doing the same.

Here's featherfist Cunningham rocking Fury to his boots with a short right hand (not the knockdown).

Here's even more featherfisted Wallin forcing Fury to hold on after a grazing shot makes him all wobbly.

And that wasn't even brining up any of the Wilder fights. Anyone who thinks this joker has a good chin is having a laugh.

Fury's so called "glass chin" has never cost him a fight despite fighting plenty of big men and bangers including Wilder who many rate as perhaps the biggest puncher of them all. The only way Usyk stops him is if he is close to shot. People have written him off multiple times and he's fooled them so it will be fascinating to see how he goes as he's not getting any younger.

Yep and they usually get cracked by mediocre to average punchers not by savage punchers when it gets to that point. Fury is not an Iron Chinned fighter. That much we know.

Furys chin is not glass at all. He's gotten up everytime he's gotten decked and always gotten up stronger and better.

In boxing you will eventually get knocked down, but not everyone can get up and recover

I guess because some boxing fans are Fury haters.
And that is largely justified by Fury's behavior.
But Fury definitely doesn't have a glass jaw, having boxed entire fights, or won before the end of the fight with some serious punchers; Francis Ngannou, Deontay Wilder, Wladimir Klitschko...

You guys seem to be confusing chin with the ability to recover. When you have a world champion who claims to be the best fighter of all time, and his fans hail him as this mythical warrior who is too big and too strong for everyone, yet this fighter was decked more times in his career than he had title fights, I think it's a no-brainer that his chin is a liability. Getting up after a knockdown is one thing, but getting knocked down time and again is definitely a sign of a weak chin.

Well i certainly don't hail him as the best of all time.

His chin isn't a liability until it costs him a fight. Louis and Holmes got hurt and KD plenty of times but they invariably came back to win.....like Fury.

Perceived weakness of "chin" means nothing when they get up and in no time flat are dominating again. The KD's vs Wilder were from punches that have finished other fighters as we've seen multiple times. It was incredible how he not only got back up against Wilder late in that first fight but took back over in no time flat.

Pajkic and Joey Abell. Thouh Abell is somehow a very solid puncher. He had Fury hurt on multiple occasion. And that guy is absolutely journeyman.

And some people on here and from UK media have the guts to claim that best version of Fury would beat best version of Usyk. Absolutely bollocks.

There is a reason Fury ducked Usyk for almost 2 years. Speed, movement, footwork, cardio, reflexes all of this things are the first to go. But being a giant, which is Fury main asset stay forever.
Usyk style is million time more prone to wear and tear due to age, compare to Fury, who is actually a lot forgiving for that.

Still 37 and a half years old Usyk going to wipe the floor with the pretender comes May the 18th.
