Why don't some classic boxing fans and historians give modern fighters credit?

    How you call that lying is beyond me.
    Your logic is amazing, he's either a super fanboy, or he has no bias. Absolutely nothing in between right?

    I said we'll assume he wasn't lying, which I don't hold to be the case anyway.

    That leaves him as either a very fallible judge of fighters or a far from impartial one. Unless you agree that Dempsey actually would destroy prime Tyson in a round, which would take a much more convincing argument than that he had God-given talent and no weaknesses in his game.

    I personally don't like Tunney vs Dempsey analogies. It's like the 2015, Pac vs Floyd for me, doesn't mean too much. The Prime Dempsey would knock out Tunney in both fights ..imo.. I mean Dempsey was so close, so many times of gettin' there, and he did a few times in '26 and '27. But Prime Dempsey, gets there a hell of a lot more and that simply can't be argued .. whether he gets outboxed .. certainly can
