Why don't you "boxing" fans just say it? You will always hate Floyd no matter

who he fights.:think He can beat Pacquiao and you'll hate him for beating up the "nice" guy because he's the "villain", and he was bigger, he ran, ect.

He could beat Mosley after that, and yet you will still hate him. "Mosley was old, prime Shane would have beat him...ect." "He still hasn't fought fighter A, B, C."

Then he could whip Cotto and you'll still hate him because it's okay for Pac to fight Floyd's leftovers, but not vice-versa.

Then of course there will be Paul Williams who is obviously a MW now and has little drawing power to get a big fight. Even if he did after Floyd beat the previous guys, and Floyd goes and whips him, Williams was always a "hype job", or "Pacquiao would have finished him off quicker!"

You WILL still hate him. Instead of making up imaginary excuses and using double-standards, just admit it!

You will always hate Floyd Mayweather jr. no matter what he does.

Maybe you don't appreciate skill, and only like fighters' who's primary defense is to get hit first. You could always go watch MMA you know?

He brings a lot of attention to the sport of boxing, because he has something the Pacman lacks. An actual personality. Whoever Floyd fights, he is the one selling the fight because you just can't help but watch.

You always hope he loses, and then he beats up your favorite fighters. Should you hate him for it, or just be unhappy your guy lost?

You will say, "well he's still a runner and a ducker!" Can I then ask how many of his fights you have actually seen?

You will say, "he always picks on smaller guys!" You mean in 2 of his 40 pro fights?:think

Sure, okay you don't like his style. How does that cause this infectious and extreme hate though?

You think he should fight this guy or that guy! Is his career over yet? Last time I heard I think he's still got some fighting to do.

Why do you really hate him? Hate is so strong a word! Instead of bullshitting, just say, "well I just hate him no matter what!"

One more question: to those who hate him so much. Why do you not just avoid "Void" (as you call him) if you hate him so much? It does not seem normal nor healthy to be so interested in something you hate so much. Are you really a closet FMJ fan? Nah, probably not.

The primary reason for the hate towards Mayweather, imo, is that he talks a bunch of crap in general about why he won't make the fights fans want to see(contradicting himself repeatedly) and portrays himself as the best fighter ever in the process. If he starts making those fights, there will still be some haters, as there always are, but a lot of that criticism goes away. That said, it's looking like he wants another meaningless tune-up in the UK next, so the hate's only gonna get worse justifiably if that turns out to be the case.

To hopefully witness him getting his ass handed to him one day, thats why.:deal

And when he retires, I certainly won't miss him, his mouth, his blatant ducking or his skills, you can bet on that.

There are some people that hate no matter what but as pasky said, there are also some whose blind nuthuggery will make them hang on his every word and defend him no matter what. I am a fan of floyd and usually defend him but the Marquez fight was inexcusable to me. I am insulted that after I've supported him all these years he tries to convince me that I should give him $60 of my money for a sparring match.

I will also think it's inexcusable if he prices himself out of a pacquiao fight, unless he was to fight Mosley, or Williams.
