Why don't you "boxing" fans just say it? You will always hate Floyd no matter

LOL, he won't lose in the ring so they have to look outside the ring and say he lost to RA the Rugged, Brian Kenney and others!

:good When you're first and foremost a true boxing fan before being a fan of any particular fighter, then you automatically show appreciation for great talents like Mayweather, RJJ, Hopkins, Toney, Calzaghe, Pacquiao, etc...

I think most mature posters here, don't hate Mayweather at all but they are critical of him in regards to certain decisions he takes, certain things he says and possibly the way he portrays himself.

True haters are often young, immature and just show hate for the fun of it.....possibly like they were doing in highschool with others...

I see many people here also defending him as if it was a matter of life or death...no matter what the hidden agenda truly is, whether it's a race issue or maybe even a way of life to support (gangsta), etc...

I also see a lot of heat put on Pacquiao from the same people that accuse others of the Mayweather hatreat... Why hate such a nice guy whom's only intention is to give the fans the best possible entertainment ?

We certainly can't put everyone in the same hate basket when it's all said and done. There is true haters but that's just an ignorant immature minority, and then there's the critical mass that point out what they consider to be negative.

When you get to the top, you get heat, RJJ knows the feeling !!

O please, he has to play the reace card b/c its true. FLoyd didnt start @ 147 you know, he came up and fought all the recognzed Champs @ the various weight classes. He beat Hatton when he had no losses. Went up to fight Oscar onhis terms @ 154. But yet gets no credit for it.

Pac on the other hand beat both fighters who Floyd already beat, and when they were more relative. And he gets praised waay more for it.

People will root for the other guy thats quiet and wins. No1 likes the guy that talks **** and wins. Especially when you are black @ that. I can go on on, when Roy jones was to fight @ heavyweight, no1 had a problem wit him fighting Ruiz, people said he was too small and Ruiz should win, its the biggest fight and test of his career etc. After he wins every1 says Ruiz is a papaer champion etc.
He will never get his rightful credit, and part of it is b/c of his race whether you want 2 believe it or not.
If he goes out and beats Pac every1 will say well he beat up on a little man etc.

All I want is to see the man take more fights worthy of his talent, especially with his prime years running out. I'm sick and tired of hearing all the excuses for his lackluster run at 147.

I don't even care if he beats Manny, just stepping in with him will make me a fan again.

its got nothing to do with his race, if he wins vs pac and ppl say he's suppose to win cus he's the bigger guy, thats got nothing to do with his race.

the hatred all began with his unlikable personality, his negative style of fighting. these r inside and outside elements of the ring that ppl will always associate with mayweather.

u can make alot of parrellels with calzaghe cus he had a horrible style of fighting winning on sd and ud's and a stinking arrogant personality to boot outside of the ring. and let me tell u he had alot of haters and still do and he's white.

they both had the same thing of taking under-challenging fights

I totally understand that but in sports, things change quite quickly...

Before he met Hopkins, Kelly Pavlik was just a quiet, respectable, decent white kid that received all the praise in the world !

He loses to B-Hop and most posters here think he's garbage !! In this day and age, it's just a sport reality brotha...not necessarily a race thing !!

As far as the persona thing, in real life if you're just a cool guy and you're an old enough adult, who are you more inclined to relate to....the big ego with an attitude guy or the humble nice guy ???

As a very young man, the idiot certainly..
As a grown adult, the latter... Case closed !!
