FWIW, Loeffler and K2 said they don't want that fight now, they never deceived anyone, they aren't going around parading like they want to fight Ward but Ward's ducking them, they say that it doesn't make any sense for them. Ward on the other hands keeps calling up the smaller guy who clearly expressed has no interest in fighting him.
I never understood why you guys don't say anything about Kovalev/Ward though, I mean OK, you say GGG is a duck, Ward himself says that GGG is not going to fight him and GGG also said that he has no interest in fighting Ward, yet Ward is sitting around fighting ****py SMWs and you are completely fine with that? I don't get it? I mean isn't that a double standard to you...
cafe...lets not pretend like k2 and loeffler and sanchez werent talking and running their mouths.....maybe now theyre singing a different song that they have a fight already signed for october....but theres a vid of ward saying he actually ran into loeffler and loeffler tried to deflect by saying it was sanchez that was talking ...and ward said loeffler aplogized.....that could just be ward posturing too but i tend to think not i have no problem with kovalev/ward....and i want it soon....and ill be upset if ward doesnt make it in the near future....i give ward a slight pass because hes moving up off a long layoff...id give him a slight pass off the layoff alone.....but the combination of layoff/moving up buys him some time before i demand he fight kovalev....but believe me....in the near future i wont give him a pass
In before "Yeah, bu-bu-but Bumlovkin something something, WELTERWEIGHTS something something, something something TRIPLE DUCK."
like i said palooka...ward gets a slight pass on kovalev for the time being....because of a year and half layoff and a move up......but he wont get one forever.... ggg is a very active fighter who has inquired about two possible 168lb fights...but when wards name is mentioned it turns into making smart business decisions(when many others fighters get chastised for putting business before taking challenges and fighting the best) and unifying a weak division.......much different situations.... keep giving ggg props for fighting an opponent who lost to rubio and alcine...and for unifying in a **** division....but hey at least its a ppv right?!?! defending ggg is a fruitless endeavor unless you want to look like a complete hypocrite...which i can see many dont mind doing
No one should be against this fight. It's one of the best fights that could be made in the sport today. Anyone against it has an agenda period.
seems like it was his best option if he wants to prove something....he isnt proving anything with lemieux we dont already know....wasnt getting canelo or cotto this fall.....sooooo...i mean....i guess you think lemieiux is acceptable....i mean hes prob close to the most acceptable if hes not fighting ward, canelo or cotto....and since canelo and cotto were out that left ward........instead he chose the easiest and safest route.....which is no suprise...just dont act like ggg is from a different mold
ahhh old pimp c falling for the fresh faced fighter with some pop in his hands....."oh hes so much better and different than when he lost to rubio and alcine".....yeah sure
People aren't against GGG-Ward, they're just against it at the moment. And I'm surely one of them, of course if it happened now and GGG just said **** it and signed it, great! But if he chooses to secure his legacy as a MW champion and fight Ward later, that's even better and that's what I hope he does. I don't agree it's one of the best fights though, I tend to think it will be like Froch-Ward and I thought that was a dismal fight.
Imagine if Ward still never fought say Kessler, Kessler was avoiding him and preventing him from winning the lineal title, would you say to Ward, OK man stop ducking fighters in the upper division? No, you'd want him to finish his work in SMW first and then move up. I'm not sure why this is different for GGG.
I want them to fight at 168, once Golovkin unifies 160 and Andre gets back into the mix at 168 yeah, I'm a Bumlovtart
Stupid thing to say, fighters get better as they learn and grow, lemieux is not the same fighter he was back then, he's clearly more economical and level headed. That's like saying fury shouldn't bother fighting klitschko as he got knocked out by sanders and purity. Fighters lose, can't use that as a reason not to fight them if they've genuinely improved and become decent fighters since those losses.
