Why even watch the Canelo vs Mayweather fight?

I won't be watching, even for free. 100% serious. I don't like Mayweather's boxing, never have.

I appreciate that his approach is efficient, much like some of the well-respected old Italian soccer team's "catenaccio" tactics, or the way that Peter Ebdon approaches snooker.

However, all of those things to me are like watching paint dry. (People talk **** about the Klitschkos being boring to watch?)

Mayweather seems to be aware that he is dull to watch (to anyone who watches boxing for the spectacle and entertainment value, anyway). Acting like an ******* to motivate idiots to pay his bills out of sheer irritation/hatred is getting old, but at least he's got the good sense to put Matthyse v Garcia on the bill, to provide some entertainment for the fans of boxing as a combat sport. I'm not bloodthirsty, but I do prefer to see some actual fighting going on.

Canelo will be weight drained. It'll be an episode of the Walking Dead. If Floyd loses, holy ****, he'll have lossed to an inexperienced, weight-drained Canelo.

 

With this catch weight bull**** the fight is stained with dishonesty before it takes place. Floyd should have found himself another opponent.

Why bother to buy a PPV for $75 if Canelo has zero chance of winning even one round? However, I think it will be better than that. I do worry about the weight though. Garcia had to come back 2 times to get his weight off, he was over the limit, finally made it. Matthysse was exactly right on the weight limit as usual........

 

From the threads on here, it sounds like it was the same old thing from Mayweather. A fool and his $75 are easily parted. I am comfortable with my decision.
