    I think Hatton is a disrespectful punk. In the end though, he's still a person. On Floyd's show he talked about how he enjoys stuffing his face in between fights. He needs to stop this ****, it's not healthy. Take a look at some of the long term effects;

Long-term harm in ballooning up, then flash-cutting weight

    Four potential problems

Organ damage -- starving the body of water and nutrients can lead to liver, pancreas, kidney and gallbladder damage, as well as heart failure.

Bone degeneration -- with severe and repeated dehydration, bones become brittle and arthritic, leading to fractures and joint deterioration.

Weight gain -- when a person consumes a lot of calories and then diets, the body learns to horde food as stored fat. This can cause irreversible metabolic change and may lead to extreme weight gain later.

Brain damage(I thnk this one might already be setting in) -- dehydration decreases oxygen and blood flow to the brain. This can lead to brain damage, strokes, aneurysms and death.

Is it just me or has the main boards become home for floyd lovers who want to have a go at hatton. ITs getting boring now lol what happened to talking about boxing. So what he eats between fights and looks huge compared to his normal weight but he really isnt that huge just looks it compared to what he normally looks like. Floyd lovers are just grabbing at straws now.

BigReg. You're post is a bit insane, our kid.

I thought I remember you supporting Ricky earlier today. It was definitely someone from Philly and I'm sure, if it wasn't you, they had a very similar avatar.

I am a Biomedical Science student in third year at uni.

You are wrong about the brain damage, the organ damage is not as severe as you suggest although it is certianly not healthy. He already gains weight so the weight gain suggestion is a self evident proposition.

I have never heard anything about "bone degeneration athough it sounds like total fabrication to me, if you have a source and would post it I will be glad to admit I am wrong :good.

Altogther it is not healthy he should not do it but more because of the stress that it puts your body under.

I read that article earlier today.

It's from the ESPN magazine, an article on Ricky Hatton.

Hatton a disrespectful punk?? STFU!! Floyds 10 times the abrasive, arrogant, loud, crude, ignorant, self consumed individual.

BTW, the notion thta Floyds giving him anything is ****ing pathetic. Hatton's earned his 0 and that's gotten him to the top. This fight should have happened at 40. Hattons was the Champ, not Floyd.

No **** Ballooning weight is good, but guess what he's young and wont be ballooning to much longer. Boxing's dangerous to everyone involved but Hatton's not at any greater risk than anyone else.

I was just saying this myself in another thread.

Strandl obviously hates Ricky, I couldn't care less about that but the ****ers insane! He's absolutely obsessed. Whenever someone starts a thread about Hatton, you can guarentee that Strandl is the most common poster in that thread and each and every single one of his posts is the exact same point, just slightly paraphrased.

In other words, he is following the Hatton threads just to troll them by posting more than anyone else about how **** he thinks Hatton is blah blah blah. He's a ****ing weirdo. I think I'll block the **** actually if I can find a way to do it.

You think I just make this stuff up. Even though I rag on Hatton, I actually have nothing against him. It's all in good fun. In all honesty, I don't want to see something bad happen to the guy(besides of course him losing to Floyd)

mm, i did read an article about how dehydration causes a decrease in CSF. I thought that was interesting. There really is some medical backing about dehydration and brain damage.

This thread isn't about Floyd, it's about showing concern for Ricky. You guys all love Ricky now, but where will you guys be when he retires? I don't want to see another sad human interest story on ESPN about how Ricky is all ****ed up because of his poor dieting habits, combined with the punishment he takes in the ring.
