He was coming into the ring at well over 150 during his 140 reign. He wasn't a JWW. He was just sweating down.

    I'm not tracking you... lol
I was in a prediction thread where I had to admit to being wrong (Prediction)

your post happens to be on the same page.
Then I stumbled onto this gold mine of a thread and seen you using hindsight like a BOSS.

I was talking to a close friend right before the fight and I was telling him why fighting trout the same way he fought Margo wouldn't work.Trout with whom I wasn't very familiar 1 week ago has the mobility to keep cotto chasing him and the jab to keep him away.Neither of these 2 were Margo's weapons.
I even lost a bet with a friend from this forum and I'm paying for lunch. So much I wanted cotto to win but I could tell it was the wrong fight as soon as I started watching more of trout.

Not to discredit Trout, but truth is Cotto looked slower than ever and when he'd stun Austin on occasion he didn't follow thru like his motivation gone. And it was still a close fight Austin winning first rounds and finishing strong while Cotto won middle rounds. Trout did NOT outland Cotto by 100 punches its like they didnt take into account his body work. Cotto either rematches Trout or gets destroyed by Canelo. He STILL making the same mistakes he did in the past.

pretty much everyones fight night weight goes up about like that the day after the weigh in.... he was a small junior middleweight who finally fought a natural junior middleweight, who was stronger, faster, and boxed cottos little ears off

Cotto's level of skill was supposed to be able overcome the style matchup, but he wasn't using his weapons when he had the opportunity.

arum siad that the cut was hurting cottos equilibrium and thats why he was rocked on numeour occasion at 140. i thought this was BS but bob was right as cotto was stronger at 147 and seemed to take punches much better at the higher weight.

i thought mosely(prime) was his best win followed by clottey when he showed tremendous heart by overcoming the early headbut by the piece-of-**** joshua.

like mayweather, theyre both just too small to be fighting 154 and thats why canelo was targeting them.

Cotto isn't small. He isn't giving fight night weights because he's blowing up 10+ lbs

It was not a bad idea, fighting the best out there is what you do at world level. Would you rather Cotto just fought beatable opposition?

Does this mean that he should have stayed in that weight class in his whole career?

Who give a **** about a belt, he should have took the Pac rematch and made close to 10 millions . That move was as dumb as the Mosley move where Mosley passed the third Hoya fight that could have made him 10 mills plus / or Marquez passing the second Pac fight for 750g to go and fight Chris John for 30g.

Because he couldn't. Did you see Trout's long arms?
