:yep You know we Ricans have an extraordaniary sense of confidence and unconditional support for our fighters. No matter who they fight against we will believe they hold the upper hand. But I do think he has a chance of winning against Mosely. He'll have to train like never before and go mentally stronger than ever to be able to hold his own against a superb opponent in Mosely. That would be a true step up in oppsition and class for Cotto, but we are willing to live with the outcome.

PS - Sorry for the exaggeration, it was an emotional thing :yep!

Now, seriously... When do you think Cotto could fight Mosely or PBF? If he as ready as he could be as of now or should he wait a little more?

Look...as good a fighter Cotto is....he simply is not ready for slick, veteran, fast, fighters who have seen his type of pressure power punching style so it wont shake them.

Cotto is a beast do not get me wrong i like him over Margo and Hatton hands down but Cotto gets hit an awful lot and with the accuracy and speed of Floyd and Mosley you have to wonder with Cottos come forward style...he will have to turn into a counter puncher becaue floyd and Mosley with be first to the punch easily and get their shots off and get out...especially Floyd...Floyd ALWAYS sticks to his game plan and is never forced to fight anyones fight...which means PBF if fought Cotto right now easily outpoints Cotto because Floyd has master the ring generalship and his footwork...if you dont believe so just pay attention to Arum when he thinks Cotto is ready you best believe he will be calling Floyd or Mosley's name.....just look what he was doing for Margo...he blasted Floyd for ducking Margo and lobbied for Margo to fight Floyd because he backed Margo he flet Margo could win....now i have yet to hear Arum lobby Cotto to fight Floyd or even Mosley..but he has said he wanted him to fight Margo...its just Cotto isnt ready for those fights yet.

BWA HA HA. you must be new to boxing.Mosley wont last 12 will Cotto at 147? Yeah your right there. Cotto might end up on his ass KO`ed.That fight is even money and you know it.Shane has NEVER been KO`ed.Not even Vernon Forrest could do it and his a way bigger puncher than Cotto.Theres no way Cotto will be able to hit Shane as consistently as any of his previous foes. You sell Shane wayyy to short.

Margarito would knock Cotto out. Anyone with boxing good boxing skills and a solid defense has a chance to beat Cotto. Anyone who is bigger and stronger than Cotto can beat him too. Cotto is almost 27, if he still isn't ready for certain fights, when will he be?

you hit it right on the head....it is consensus that PBF is the #1 guy in WW since he vacated the other belt for the 147....SO...like you said process of elimination...why arent te contenders fighting one another? Imagine if Cotto beat Margo and Mosley....HANDS DOWN he deseves his shot or vice versa for the other fighters...fact is....none have done it but all are saying they deserve the shot...thats not fair to ther champ cus now he HAS to pick and choose....and when he picks people start saying he ducking someone....but if the contenders make the decision for him by fighting ....then we know WHO REALLY deserves the shot and not comparing resumes and all that bullshyt!
