A lot of people said the same thing about Floyd and Pacquiao. Back in 2009 and 2010 many saw Pac-Man as unbeatable, and thought no one, not even Floyd, could beat him. Then Pacquiao declined, and Floyd managed to beat a one-armed Pacquiao.

The age disparity between Canelo and GG is much greater than Floyd and Pacquiao, and it is clear that GG's time is running out, which is why they are so desperate to fight Canelo before he declines.

We all have our theories on who would win, Canelo or GG, but it's ridiculous to think that Canelo could never beat Golovkin, like anything in boxing is impossible. That's like saying Ward could never beat Kovelev or something.

As far as Floyd beating GG, well for one he's never fought at MW so that more arugable, but I would say that the Light Middleweight versions of Floyd that fought DLH or Cotto (can't count the 152-lb Canelo farce) would certainly be capable of beating GG by decision.

 

Why?? Mayweather is a certified all time great, made millions more than GGG ever will, while GGG gets lucky to get into the HoF.

Canelo has also shown a willingness to make big fights even if it means that he has to be dictated to. He wanted pbf got dictated to fought him on his terms and got the fight. He wanted cotto got dictated to fought cotto on his terms and got that fight. Now it's time for Canelo to dictate he's on top and is the cash cow that's how it works.
