Floyd is not greater than Manny. Manny has fought the better guys consistently, yet if Manny loses to Margarito by knockout Floyd goes ahead of him. There is no way around that. That is the benefit of not fighting and sitting back and watching Manny fight tough guys.

I disagree. You can't reward somebody for not fighting.

    ****!

The only way Mayweather would be greater with your scenario is to actually find his "urge" first and actually win against Margarito. If he lose to Margarito, he is still not greater than Pac.

Or are we adding Margarito to the fantasy resume of Gayweather?

If Manny loses to Margarito that will affect his status no matter what. It isn't rewarding Floyd as much as Manny will not be up above Floyd anymore. How can he be?

Ratings work like that. If Manny loses to Margarito that would not help his ranking obviously. Why do you think Floyd sits back and waits. He can sit back and wait for Manny to lose and then say he is the best guy at welt. since he beat the guy who beat Margarito (Mosley). Look what happened with Leonard in the 1980's. He didn't fight past the summer of 1982 and Hearns and Hagler fought numerous times until 1987 (I know Ray fought Howard in 1984) when Ray fought and beat Hagler. Almost like all those fights Hagler and Hearns had from 1982-1987 and all the titles did not matter since Ray automatically jumped ahead of both of them. It might not be fair, but when you play the handpicking game if you win you can move ahead of a hardworking fighter who fights them all like Pacman, or in the 1980's Hearns and Hagler.

I thought you meant Pac vis-a-vis Floyd's ratings in the ATG. I read your answer to another poster where you said it's the welterweight ranking you are on about.

In summary, I agree with what you said if it's the ww ranking, but I disagree if you actually meant the ATG ranking or even P4P.

ATG ranking? No probably not. He has beaten greats and you cannot take that away from him, and you cannot give Floyd wins over ATG fighters. So Floyd will not pass up Manny that way, but as of the p4p ranking now, if Manny loses now then Floyd will never have to fight him. Although it might make Floyd want to fight Manny if Manny loses. Remember how Ray wanted to fight Hearns more after Tommy lost to Barkley and struggled with Kinchen.

    Hey hooooold on hoooold on.

Paul williams and martinez are legit challenges.

**** WHEN mayweather starts fighting at 154 himself mayweather would end up fighting williams and martinez also.

MANY people think martinez could beat mayweather if they ever meet inthe same weight class. (im not stating my opinion on that fight yet)

What he does outside of the ring is his own business, he have to answer for that not me. I'm a fan of what he does in the ring. The name calling proofs how immature you are and also is a indication of your anger. No matter what you say or do the facts are the facts your opinions, assumptions and speculations are not.

Oh my bad, I assumed you did. The same way you assumed that I get off on another persons success. I guess we were both wrong.

IMO Pac was greater than Floyd before Pac even fought Oscar.

Well, the difference is, you made a post just to clap about Floyd being undefeated. That kind of supports my post. You, on the other hand, just assumed out of no where I hate Floyd for his success. S'all good! :thumbsup
