Floyd haters tend to be new to boxing. They probably saw him on WWE and now they come over here and start acting like they know something about boxing.

On a good night Floyd can beat just about anybody. Here's why.

Most fighters, including great ones, still fight in what I call the traditional style. Which is both hands up, shoulders squared, behind a jab looking to land a right hand. Vice versa for southpaws. Although many great champs have made a great career fighting out of this stance, it is very limited in terms of mobility and counter punching.

Floyd's style is all his own. You can't learn it in a gym, you can only learn it from another Mayweather. He stands at an angle, which makes it hard to even land a jab flush anywhere on his body. With his body at an angle and his feet spread apart he is ready to roll away from your punch and, in the same MOTION come back with a counter underneath it!

It's hard to keep up with his footwork as he is always a step ahead and out of range. If he's in the corner or with his back to the ropes, it's because he wants to be there and is setting up a punch.

He doesn't use a jab because he doesn't need a jab! He is so fast, and his timing is so good he can fire his straight right hand and left hook at will without having to set them up.

He hardly ever gets hit flush and just about every punch he throws he lands FLUSH!

His style is TAILOR MADE for the traditional "up and down" style that everybody uses. He will continue to dominate fighters until he runs into someone that can offer something new.

The only fighter that has a style that may be effective against Mayweather is Pacquiao, and that's only cause he's a southpaw. But that is one BIG "may be" as Mayweather has delt with southpaws as well.

I don't hate his skill in boxing. I hate his promotional talents.

He should take points from Tyson...."I'm gonna f&*% you 'til you love me" or something like that.

The shoulder roll is as old as boxing.

Yeah, but how many fighters use it effectively as Floyd or James Toney? Even between Floyd and Toney, Floyd has it down better.

This is what I'm talking about. All haters like this guy don't even realize you put more money in his pocket with comments like that!

Whats that got to do with anything. You said it was unique and can only be taught by the Mayweathers.

Sure is - but there are those that can do it, and those that master it as a way of setting up more punches.

Toney and Hopkins? They can shoulder roll, no doubt. But can they use it in the way Floyd does to disguise and setup punches? Seriously?

I feel sorry for people who have this much hatred towards FLoyd yet consider themselves boxing fans - you're missing out on one of the greats.

Your views on the "traditional style" are just plain wrong. It is the most versatile stance, with maximum defense.
Also, if you think Floyd's style is something new that Mayweather invented, you haven't watched much boxing.

What you are right about is that Floyd has great speed, reflexes and natural ability, that when combined with his style make for a fighter that is very difficult to beat.

Mayweather uses the shoulder roll, but his whole style is not something common. Hopkins shoulder rolls but he still stands with both hands up behind a jab. Toney uses a jab and shoulder rolls. It's only part of his technique.

Floyd's style is unique to all styles, including their's.

Also he will stay undefeated because he doesn't fight anyone at a high level.

Right now I'll give Williams, Pacquiao and Mosley great chances to beat him. Got to see how he performs next to get a better picture, can't judge him based on fights pre-retirement at this point since this is his first long layoff ever.

yup. Imagine that style and skill on a guy with charm, he could have been a household name like Michael Jordan. Joy's shoulder roll was great too until that Leonard fight. His son does it better and has the perfect body for it. I particularly like the uppercut, coming as a counter.

Considering Williams should be fighting at 160-168, lets remove him from the table.

Pacquaio vs PBF? Good fight, but Floyd wins in my view.

Floyd vs Mosley at their primes at 135? Great fight, but Floyd wins.
