    Top Ten Reasons:

    1. It is the biggest fight that could be made in Boxing

    2. He might just have enough skill and stamina to win a UD

    3. It would do wonders for his legacy

    4. It would give me a reason to root for Floyd

    5. He would gain a lot of the respect that he has lost

    6. No one could call him a ducker anymore

    7. There might be 15 to 20 million dollars for him on the table plus PPV

    8. Most people dont think he stands a chance

    9. Because Oscar wont even touch him with a 10' pole

    10. Because MAx Kellerman said he should and HBO want this fight

Come on Floyd make your fans proud and pick up a few new fans in the process, handle your business man you are not getting any younger !!!!

One more big reason, you can be called a great Welterweight if you win!

Excellent points except i think he has an excellent chance and yes, in terms of boxing significance and not money significance, this would be the biggest fight in boxing.

I agree but wouldn't this fight just change your whole perception of the guy???

I would actually gain so much respect for him win or loose.

It's a fight I'm pretty sure will make nearly 700k PPV buys if not more. This is a fight talked about long ago and right now is the perfect time to make it happen, though I really doubt Floyd will come out of retirement, if the available fighters don't motivate him enough then I don't see any fighters doing so later as he gets older.

If Margarito beats Williams and carries on winning he'll only get bigger and a possible fight with Mayweather will be bigger, but I admit, right now is the perfect time to make it.

I even gave him my vote of confidence, but I am not sure if he can pull it off.

I would love to see it at MSG on 2/17/2009, I would definately be there!

So why would he not take this fight? you are naive.

Margarito is a bull, but there is no greater matador than the Pretty Boy!

It would be a great event, either way.

Margarito needs to rematch PW first. Mayweather should fight the UNDISPUTED WW champ, whoever that ends up being by the (hopefully) end of 2009.

When Vargas fought Tito I became a huge fan of Vargas and I still am!!

    He is a true warrior.

I actually think stylewise cotto still has a higher chance of beating PBF also mosley.
Margarito can also win but its gonna be hard for him to catch PBF. You know he is gonna be running hard and fast but you never know margo could catch him and althogh PBF is not a feahter fisted fighter I don't think he can throw anything to slow margarito down.
Its just a matter of who gives up first.

I actually think that even if he went out on his shield in the later rounds, Mayweather would gain a ton of fans and adoration. Sort of like when Tyson got beat by lewis who could't feel sympathy for the guy?

I do not think that Floyd has anything to loose in this fight except that "0" he loves so much.

Maybe oneday he will realize that it is not the most important thing that a fighter can posses.

And if he could pull it off then he can talk all the **** that he wants and he sould all shut the **** up, seriously.

He would jump to the very top 5 or 10 of the ATG list with that type of a win.

floyd doesn't have the power to hurt margarito thats the only reason he won't take the fight, if he knew he could keep him off he would but he can't so he will not ever take this fight.

I would rather see Floyd fight Williams than Margarito. PBF would school Margarito.
