WHY FROCH's win vs Taylor is one of the greats by a Brit

    It was a great win.

the nerves can't be overplayed. He was bricking it - back to his amateur day nerves.

i think it was a great experience for him: I doubt Froch will show that sort of fear again. He didn't really get going until around the sixth.

I reckon he could fight Pavlik in Ohio or Keslser in Copenhagen and be fine (in terms of nerves) after a round or two now.

Its a good win on paper, but not when you look at Taylor's reign as MW champ.

Taylor beat Hopkins with his Boxing skills, his stamina was not brought into question, because both fights were fought at a snails pace.

He went in there with two lesser fighters....Froch,Pavlik who were going to test his heart,STAMINA and he failed the test.

Ouma,Spinks gave him trouble. He arguably lost to Wink.

Taylor looks good on paper, but he is not a complete fighter, and that is why he is open to beat by lesser fighters. His skills mean he is capable of hanging with old guys like Hopkins who are not gonna put it on him.

Froch vs Pavlik i dont see happening. At this point in time Froch is the new kid on the block and Pavlik "damaged goods".Froch may not be the most technically gifted fighter at 168,but lets be realistic he'd take care of Pavlik at that weight in no time.Hermit, feel free to comment on my thoughts,i know you have the original of your avata pinned to your bedroom mirror, and the fact that anyone can seriously "rate" Pavlik as anything more than a "slugger" tells its own story.:good

No one can take that away from him. He knew he was behind and did what he had to do over the last two rounds.

Well, I hear in Copenhagen you don't need a prescription for 'nerve medicine, so yeah, I guess.... Youngstown? He might feel safer once he got in the ring than getting TOO the ring where the certainty of him getting bludgeoned into submission is 100%. :deal

Froch is so easy to hit you'd have to practice missing in order to connect under 60%. Pavlik would beat Froch senseless and look like Willie ****ing Pep doing it.

Sure, I have some time to kill. You don't know how to watch boxing. Pavlik's defense is better than he gets credit for. Froch is bigger so this fight won't happen until Pavlik decides to abandon MW for good. If Taylor can put Froch down for 8, Pavlik can put him down for 10. Not even a question of that is there? Froch's defense is his chin and he really doesn't want to rely on that against Pavlik, especially after he adds the weight to go up.

Difference between Pavlik and Froch defensively is that Pavlik does not throw punches if he thinks they will leave him wide open, he will stay in his envelope. Froch throws big ambitious shots that leave him WIDE open. He reaches to when he punches.

Pavlik is not good defensively either, but he does not take the risks Froch does. Froch takes more risks than Hamed used to, and that is saying something.

Why on earth would I do that when there are worthwhile comments? You are the only one that values your 'comments' here.

Hermit,i hate to throw cheap shots at people, but hey dude with that avatar your asking to be ridiculed. As much as i hate to admit it,even i was drawn into the Pavlik hype after the Miranda and Taylor wins, but luckily i've seen sense now and see Kelly for what he really is "entertaining but limited"
