wilder improved a lot and got all the best out of him for that fight... it was his best night... but fury looked less reflexive and slower besides not having as much head movement as he usually has and his feet were seen slow
For ages, I thought Fury was pretty much garbage that night. Having rewatched the fight recently, he didn't look that bad. It wasn't vintage but he outboxed Wilder handily for every round apart from where he was getting knocked down. He got careless a few times late on when, if Wilder hadn't been exhausted, he might have gone down again. But it must have been clear to him that Wilder had nothing left to trouble him, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he did exactly what he needed to do and, as is sometimes the case with Fury, not a whole lot else. Great KO though.
Wait wait wait. So what we are saying is that this man beat Wilder without training and he looked terrible and still stopped Wilder being at 60% Fury. I wonder what he can do at 100% then.
I think his heart wasn't in the fight because there was alot of hype about the unification with AJ. It got pulled away from him by the arbitration ruling. I genuinely think he needs a challenge too get up for a fight and probably battering bum squad for a third time wasn't appealing too him.
Imagine flooring a guy twice with your best punches(as the supposed hardest hitter in the division), only for him to rise from the canvas and proceed to beat your ass for the rest of the fight.
So which is it? Wilder improving a lot or Fury got worst?? You can’t have both. What makes less sense is he got better but was stopped, where as when Fury was supposedly a better fighter and Wilder a worst fighter it went 12 rnds.
