Certain fighters have a style that negates the others strength, I feel GGG’s main attribute is his ability to control the distance. We all know he is a big puncher yet none of his opponents have managed to smother his work by tidying up until they recover.
I know Ward is on another level to most of GGG’s opponents, I also know some will strongly disagree with my comments but I truly feel GGG has the attributes required to beat ward.
IMO Ward will run for the mountains and will not entertain this fight, just today’s game, Mayweather has set the blueprint on how to navigate your way through your career cherry picking your opponents, not since lightweight and 2005 did Mayweather test himself until Canelo, that’s 8 years of ducking. I expect Ward to do the same.

Where to begin. First of all Floyd's record is full of good to great fighters that he has dominated. Among them being the late great Diego Corrales and Genaro Hernandez so your cherry picking is not valid.

Ward has beaten Froch, Kessler, Dawson and Abraham. Again your cherry picking statement is off base.

As good as Golovkin is, he never has faced anyone as good and as smart as Ward. If they meet, it should be an interesting fight.

Floyd is a phenomenal talent, but he's opportunistic in his opponent selection. I hate when people act like Diego wasn't weight drained to hell and on the verge of going to prison for years prior to his fight with Floyd. Before Diego got himself in trouble, Floyd turn down the offer. Then Diego gets convicted, starts partying hard core because he's going away for long ass sentence and Floyd suddenly wants the fight...

I don't see GGG beating ward. Ward is like a Hopkins mix with mayweather. He has a high boxing IQ, he's a master at controlling distance. he adjust on the fly to whatever you bring equalise it then make you fight his game. GGG isn't going to dominate a bigger more skilled ward.

You could argue Ward should have fought Dawson at 175 for the lineal LHW title knowing Dawson hadn't made 168 in ages. Dawson was a dumbass to suggest 168, Ward should have been the better man and taken a risk in order to get full credit - instead he got little to none. Bad decision.

Who has Ward faced that was as capable as Golovkin at gauging distance and selecting the right punch to throw every time?

I'm not saying Golovkin beats Ward, just that your counterargument is a bit ****.

I think Ward frustrates Golovkin on the inside all night, with the odd half round break where he uses his reach to potshot him with up-jabs. Ward mauling UD.

Didn't Diego continue fighting at 130 after fighting Mayweather? Wasn't Mayweather headed to jail a month after fighting Cotto? How come he didn't get destroyed in that fight?

A lot of BS in one post.

Whose fault is it that diego was weight drained?

An what proof do you have of floyd turning down a fight with diego?

Also Diego partying isnt floyd's fault. Floyd was facing jail time also but still fought cotto at a weight he shouldnt even be at an was still victorious.

Ward will smother and outbox GGG on the inside, GGG is not that comfortable on the inside, notice how he pushes opponents away from him like he did with Stevens.

Not intended to hijack but any word on GGG's opponent for Feb 1st in Monaco? K2 is over a week past the date they intended to make the announcement. With the date less than nine weeks out there shoud be something announced soon, I hope.

No doubt having trouble getting opponents once again...
