    Where?

Brook is a bad fight but it was a last minute replacement for Eubank.

GG had actually signed for Eubank and had sent the contract back.

Accepting Brook at the last minute to keep his HBO date isn't the same as actively pursuing a WW from the outset.

You guys just can't appreciate circumstances.

He had no better options at the eleventh hour.

I think I actually would favour Brook over any LMW or at least I'd expect him to win.

Based on what Exactly? His win over Porter, or his nationality? :think

    Based on a hunch.

You know like how I can expect Spence to beat the guy that beat Gavin.

Plus how can nationality come into it if it's Brook v Smith? Or Brook vs Rose or Macklin?

Brook is totally unproven as a LMW but so is ever single recorded fighter until they have their first win there, at some point a leap of faith must be made. You know like when Mayweather fought De La Hoya, I expected him to win despite him never having fought there.

I'd expect Gonzalez to beat Inoue despite him never fighting that hight.

Doesn't mean Brook is a good fight for Golovkin, which is all your bothered about here.

    :patsch

I expect a top 147 fighter to likely beat a 154 fighter outside of the top 10, that seems plausible.

Having a fighter like Brook with only one solid win beat a fighter like Lara who holds multple solid wins, not so plausible.. not impossible, but not likely.

Mayweather beating an ODLH that was at the very keast 5 years removed from his prime...? You comapring that to a prime Lara vs a prime Brook? :patsch

Again, what does Brook do, or what has he done to make you believe he has a shot at a fighter who is as schooled, and as strong at Lara?

It's not as simple as that. For instance I would expect Crawford to beat any WW fighter out there. I would not expect Linares to beat any LWW out there. It's a case by case scenario.

I'm not comparing the specific circumstances, I'm saying it isn't unreasonable to favour a man in a new weight division.

As for Brook vs Lara, Lara fights too negatively and wouldn't get the judges vote imp and I'd be amazed if he stopped Brook. A harder fight for Brook is Charlo imo.

"circumstances" are basically a hypocrite's excuses.

The end result is what matters. Nobody put a gun to GGG's head and forced him to take this fight. After all the ish him and his people(not to mention the stans) spewed they ended up picking a guy two divisions below that will need to go higher than Kahn did at 155. They must have known they were going to get lot's of deserved sh.it for it.

It's laughable to see some of Canelo's worst detractors trying to EXCUSE this with "circumstances".

Cyclon you and I don't see eye to eye a lot, but you are wasting your time fighting wiht this guy. He will never stop responding to you. Simply look at his post history, he has written a novel's(no I'm not exaggerating) worth of words defending GGG in the past week.

How can circumstances be excuses? :patsch

    Circumstances are circumstances.

Life is defined by circumstances and opportunities.

All it is, is a cop out on your part because you are debating on emotion. That and the fact that you're not very smart.

Not once in any of my posts have I said this is even a decent fight. I won't give GG any credit if he wins. But I've got the intelligence to see that him accepting Brook at the eleventh hour to keep his HBO date, is not the same as Canelo putting in a voluntary request to specifically choose Khan.

GG actually signed a contract for Eubank, handed it in, and then questioned Eubank on Twitter as to what the hold up was at his end.

Why don't you just think about that for a second.

He never pursued a WW like Canelo. He signed to fight a MW, but accepted a WW at the eleventh hour.

It was either fight Brook or lose his HBO date.

How can you not appreciate that??

Only a fool ignores circumstances to only focus on the end result.

    You are a fool.

If circumstances don't matter and it's only the end result that counts, then let's celebrate Trevor Berbick as being one of the greatest HW's of all time.

How does that grab you? :patsch

GG is fighting Brook because Oscar wouldn't let the Canelo fight happen and Matchroom couldn't deal with Eubank Snr.

No, nobody put a gun to GG's head to force him to take the fight. But the venue had been booked, the terms of the contract had been set, HBO were happy, and he was due to start his camp the following week. So it would have been nonsensical to walk from that. Only a fool would have passed up on that and jeopardised their chance of fighting on HBO twice before the end of the year. But hey, circumstances are just excuses.

If you think this fight is complete BS, then turn your anger towards Oscar and Eubank Snr and don't watch it.

What have you brought to the table chief?

What do you contribute on any thread relating to GG?

    I'll tell you:

    NOTHING!

You post hit and run comments that are based on emotion, and you ask ridiculous questions due to a severe lack of knowledge.

Don't forget to check those ratings.

The funny thing here, is that if GG had turned Brook down, some of you clowns would be saying things like:

"He ran from Brook because he saw him as a threat, and now he's fighting a bum mandatory in bumland"

"He turned down huge money to fight a nobody for peanuts"

"He's now ducking WW's as well as JMW's"

This forum needs a complete clear out.

he says after thousands of biased words on the subject:lol:

Would love to have a decent conversation on the "circumstances" surrounding this whole Canelo/GGG/Kahn/Brook thing but that would require a serious head-out-your-ass removal on your part so I won't count on it. Stay clueless Loudone:good

:rofl This is posted by the "potty mouth" IDIOT that defended O$CAR's "CATCH-WEIGHT", "CANELO WEIGHT" 155lb. nonsense to the bitter end.

:hey El Cyclon wouldn't accept that CANELO/GGG was a MANDATORY FIGHT, until it resulted in...

    CANELO SURRENDERING the middleweight belt.

 Quit while you are behind... your CANELO CRUSADE is over, and you lost.
